  1. ... yeah just wait 'til the Dems have the checkbook ... they'll probably run up a budget surplus like they did last time. ... and taxes ... I'm gonna miss all those big tax breaks I've been enjoying these past 7 and a half years. ... but the gun law? I believe everyone should have the right. I totally agree ... outlaw guns and only outlaws will have them.
  2. Toy #1 1996 Impala SS Toy #2 2006 Silverado SS Flamed and very difficult to get a good picture of them. Also notice the addition of the side script on the rear quarter. GM should have put this on our SSS's but didn't. ... yes ... yes ... I know the SS is missing from the door ... but it clashes with the flames.

    91 Octane

I also tried the 87 octane. For the difference of $4.00 / tank ... I found my mileage went down almost a mile/gal. So in the end ... I lost about $4.00 in fuel economy. It was a wash in my case ... so why screw around with cheap gas and risk harm to a goo engine. The important thing I have learned ... only buy gas from very busy gas stations. They have fresh gas. I bought from a place that was middle-of-the-road in price because there was no waiting. Ended up costing me a hand-full of clogged injectors and a tank flush from the anount of water in my tank. Never again. I'll happily wait in line.
  4. ... well ... if your imagination alows: NetMan - The Internet Super Hero Protector of the Free Echange of Information disguised as a mild mannered ... interNET site MANager ... with a little too much time on his hands.
  5. I dunno ... I smoked it when I was a teen. Kinda fell out of it when more responsibilities ... of adulthood ... came into play. Always was used for recreational purposes ... not so much for escaping the world's problems. Now ... it's just not an important part of my life. Did I quit? ... no ... not really. I haven't bought any in many years ... but if I hook up with an old friend and he hands me a big 'ol fat cannon ... I'll spark it up. But again ... it's not an important part of my life anymore. I'm kinda on the fence about the legality. Both sides have valid points. There's a difference between use and abuse. It goes with everthing in life. Moderation is key.
  6. Elgin ... between Rockford and Chicago ... far NW burbs.
  7. ... OK ... here's a pic from the dealership website. I haven't taken any myself, yet ... the weather's been kinda sh*tty.
  8. Hi everyone ... I'm Tony and I finally got my Silverado SS. Traded in my '98 Z71 Offroad. I bought a used '06 w/ 18K on the clock. I've wanted an SS for some time. I'm looking forward to the available insight here ... as I have on the Impala SS sites for when the mods begin. And begin they shall. 1.) CIA 2.) Headers & Exhaust 3.) Dyno Tuning ... pretty much as I did with my Imp. w/o the bling for the shows. This Silverado SS will be my daily driver and possibly my Imp. hauler ... if I decide to trailer it to the shows. The important thing here is that I now have an SS to drive any time I like without the worry of "Oh no! it'll get dirty". I will enjoy this truck for many years to come. HAPPY MODDING!
  9. ... GREAT GAME!!!! NY came to play! NE came to play! Both defense teams played very well. ... as I told my neighbor ... if you want to stop NE ... you have to keep Brady from stepping forward ... flush him out of the pocket. Keep him on the run. Keep him running to the side. ... now NY did the smart thing. I kept seeing fresh legs going in on defense. You have to keep up with the receivers at all times.
  10. ... true. Only IF you're tuning in some added timing ... to make more power ... would you need a cooler t-stat to ... prevent detonation. Even a Hypertech programmer will require a t-stat change.
  11. Mobil 1 ALL the way! ... although I am considering Amsoil. A local rep. is a member of the Impala SS Club I'm involved with.
