the stock window tint is in the glass and CANNOT be removed. As for the rear de-fogger, do not try to scrape it off. Window tint can be applied over top of it with no problems.

mine did not have the breather hose. not sure if it makes any difference that mine is the classic body style or not..?

no problem. I will check tomorrow on my old intake to see if there is such a hose. Not sure if it makes a difference or not, but is your sierra a nnbs, or the classic style?

mine did not have a 'breather hose' that I am aware of.. unless its just been so long ago. If thats the case, then I am currently no longer utilizing this such hose.

try disconnecting the battery for like 20-30 minutes.. The same thing happened to me when I installed my Escalade handles..After i played with the battery, everything worked fine..

Id say either go with Smoked, or a candy red. But if you go with smoked, you should smoke the grille lights as well.. IMO.

I've got a copy of the East, I purchased my D3 last december. would this be the updated version? If you would like that I can prolly figure out how to make a copy.

You still have to buy the pioneer XM adapter, but If you go under the dash you can disconnect the factory XM antenna from the control box, take the plastic clip off the end, and replace it with the clip off the pioneer antenna. If you do this, you will be able to keep the factory XM antenna, instead of having to mount an extra antenna on the vehicle.. if that all makes sense..

yes, the antenna is placed in the corner of the windshield, at the base of the passenger side a-pillar. It has worked fine in the past..

How can I get it to read my actual position? I've had the map disc in for about 2 weeks, and It still wont recognize where I am?

I wish I knew an answer to your questions.. I just wanted to say that I have had nothing but problems with my D3 since its been installed. The GPS originally thought I was in LA, when i was in MD.. then i disconnected everything and i was back in MD.. a month later I disconnected the battery.. now Im apparently back in LA..
