  1. Sorry for not gettin back to you guys, but I had the bcm replaced and programmed to the truck at the dealer. It now will start and shut off after a couple seconds so I put a test light on one of the injectors and it will pulsate and then stops and the truck shuts off. I have to have missed a wire connection somewhere and it is causing vats to kick in like chp said. Where would a good place to find it, around the steering column or elswhere?
  2. How much you lookin to get for them?
  3. I have had a few pms about the brackets. If you want a set let me know, because I am making a few sets up as I type this...
  4. I think the problem is the bcm, I am gettin ready to take it to the dealer to have another bcm programed to the truck and I think I will take an extra pcm just to be safe. Thanks for all the help.
  5. It was salt water I think because it is a Texas truck. I checked the bcm and the water line stopped about half way up on the outside of the box. I checked and cleaned the connections and still nothing. If I let the truck sit for a while and try and start it, it will hit and try to start but thats about it. I think I would be better off just changing the complete cab harness...Oh and one other thing, will the bcm out of the parts truck work with the computer in the c3?
  6. I checked the fuel pressure and it is holding at 56lbs, I guess i'll have to check all the wiring connections for corrosion.
  7. The reason I bought this vehicle is because it was supposed to be on an incline backing down a boat ramp when the water damage occoured and wasnt supposed to have any water in the wiring under the dash. But when I got it home and I got to inspecting everything it had infact been submurged level and the engine and everything to some water in. So I guess I kinda got in a mess with it. I will take the dash apart and inspect all the connections to see what they look like. Thanks for the info chpspecial. I will get a pressure tester tomorrow 2001silveado364 and check the pressure. Thanks for all the help guys.
  8. Thanks for all the info, I will check it out and see what it looks like. I also noticed then the fuel pump kicks on it doesnt sound like it is building up pressure. You cant here it drag down so to speak.
  9. I have a parts truck that ran really good. I took the tank and all off of it and still no good. Then I put the new pump back in the truck. Where is the pressure regulator?
  10. No I dont have a pressure tester, but it has a new fuel pump in it. Guess ill be making a trip to the parts house.
  11. I figured if the cats were clogged up it would atleast start...I dont know what else to check. How much fuel pressure should it have?
  12. you can spray starting fluid back in the throttle body and it will start and idle for about 20 sec and then it will shut off. And yes with the intake back on it.
  13. When I first replaced the fuel pump it would barely run...it would rev up to 4500rpms but it sounded like it was running on 4 cylinders. Could the cats be clogged up and cause it not to run at all. When I started it and let it sit and idle for about 5 to 10 minutes the exhaust got really hot. I mean hot enough to wilt the grass under the truck.
  14. It does have fire at the injectors, I dont see why it will not run...
  15. Ok, ill go try it and see what I come up with.
  16. I recently bought a 2001 GMC Sierra C3 that is a previous water damage vehicle. I have replaced the gas tank, fuel pump, fuel filter, flushed the fuel lines and I cant get it to run. It threw a couple codes but they are only the oxygen sensors. If you spray some starting fluid back in the intake it will start and then shut off. I know it is firing and getting fuel to the fuel rail but I dont think the injectors are working. I replaced the injectors also and still no luck. What could the problem be? I have also checked all the fuses in the truck and all are ok. Oh and the water damage was just about 4 inches high in the cab so the whole truck wasnt underwater...Thanks in advance. Carl
  17. How many miles are on the cab and frame?
  18. Does this truck have a clear title?
  19. Here is a little humor for you guys too. This is what your forehead will look like after a run in with a 1/2 in drive craftsman ratchet.
