I can't tell you how many trucks I've heard of making this clunking noise,,I wander just how many gm trucks have this so-called '' Normal " Clunk. I bet it's like one in five that have it, but Gm wont do anything to correct it. I saw one link to a notice from Gm that went out to all dealerships about this, and they agreed it was annoying, but that since it wouldn't cause any type of part failure, they would not fix it. If there not gonna fix it, they should install free high watt strereo systems so atleast you can drown out the clunk.

Wanna trade these flawless Intimidator SS headrest for regular SS headrest,,,Anyone close the southeast Missouri interested,,let me know.

Hey (Ghost Pilot),,do you have any good pics of your hood & grill? also the Intimidator SS comes with all the inserts painted silver (including the ones in the Bumper) so we would have to swap those also. and I would be up for meeting you somewhere closer to halfway, according to yahoo maps Caruthersville is about half way. & are there any scratches, dents, is paint still factory? well let me know, Thanks

I have an 06 Intimdator SS, I wanna trade the Hood, Grill, and the inserts for 05 and under in same condition,,Has to be black,,anyone in my area interested??? southeast Missouri, (East Prairie) I also have the earnheart headresst I'd swap for regular SS headrest,,,I just wanna make it into a regular SS, Nothing at all against Dale Earnheart,,just that my truck is a recovered theft, and rather than try and replace all the intimidator stuff that was stolen, I'd rather just go back with SS, I need the SS dash emblem also if anyone has an extra.

I got that driveline clunk that GM has known about for years!!!, my last truck did it when I stopped & took off,, but my 06 SS does it when shifting into 2nd,,and when down shifting. I tried dropping the driveshaft and greasing the front spline,,but it didn't help much, I'm a diehard Chevy fan,,but I get so p_ssed at the fact that they have known about this problem for several years, and all they tell you at the dealer is that it won't hurt anything, and to just ignore it!!! I would agree if it was on an old junker,,but an 06??? G.M really needs to do something about this crap, I heard of a nickle plated shaft,,but have heard from some this won't stop it either. Anyone have any ideas???

I'm sure it was one of the first things to go, but do you still have the SS badge thats on the dash, just too the right of the radio? & what about the SS tailgate protector/spoiler?

Just tried the (stroking fix) on my 06 and it seems to have fixed it for now!!! thanks sooo much for the info!!!
