im up trying to find out if going from a stock 3" exhaust to a 2 1/4" exhaust is more restrictive. The muffler shop said it didnt' matter.

I'm new here but that doesn't preclude me from being pi**ed off that some a**holes stole your truck. I saw the pics of your truck, if I see them anywhere out where I am (in L.A.) I'll be sure to cruise up next to them and get a good look. I have an alarm that I think somewhat helps. It's the viper 7900, of course this is in hindsight, but on your next vehicle (hopefully another SS), I'd install it. It has 2 way paging so if your truck is tampered with, it will page you and let you know by beeping (loudly). It won't prevent it from being stolen, nothing will really, but at least it may reduce the time between entry and completely gone so that you can stop them, get a bead on which way they went, etc. Mine has a kill switch with a backup battery hidden in the dash. If they cut the battery, or horn (I have three) it will still alarm. It cost up the a** and it won't prevent a theft but I feel better with it on. Regardless, I'll be on the lookout for any SS that looks like yours. If it was me, I'd be on the warpath!

Years ago, before I had my SS, I had another chevy silverado and I put those on my truck. I bought them at Chief Auto when they were still out here in socal...I'd try pep boys or auto zone.

Rob, thanks for the kind words. I've been reading threads for a while on different upgrades/mods and finally decided to stand up and say a few words. For the record, May 10th is good for me. I will definitely be there. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and seeing a sea of ss trucks lined up. I have two, actually, a 2005 awd and a 2006 rwd. The 06 is my baby so I'll be bringing that one. I'm sure I'm going to see and learn alot that day.

Hi everyone. I'm a newbie here. I just bought a 2006 SS with about 37k miles on it. I've done a few things but not as much as you guys have. It's a work in progress. I'd like to be part of the May 10th G2G. Do I have to bring anything? I'm down for whatever, just let me know what you guys need me to do/bring.

I can't believe I missed it. I just got a 2006 SS and would have loved to have met all of you and checked out the trucks. Any idea when there will be a next one (not necessarily in L.A. area either..just anywhere).

I know this is an old post but if anyone knows how or where to get xm cheaper. Apparently there is a pm floating around that I'd like to get ahold of. Any help is appreciated.
