  3. Id agree, only the other way around. I think the tundra's gonna hold on to the crown for a little while longer. Not sure what the new 6.2 chevys are running though with the 6 speed. We do have 4.30's back there, plus the better tranny, and dodge is known for their huge drivetrain losses. Not that either of those trucks could even catch some of the trucks on this site though, not yet.
  4. the rcsb tundras are doin that stock with less hp/tq and heavier. i read the r/t rams do 14.4 quarter on insideline. still quick though.
  5. They're not true dual exhaust. One in two out. The extra cab 5.7 versions are still in the low to mid 15's. The RCSB 5.7's are like 14.4 stock. Locking rear differential and 4.10's I believe.
  6. Any of you guys run any of the 09 dodge ram hemi's? My trucks not back yet from the shop, but im dying to run one when i get it back.
  7. If you never need it, and pay year after year on it, then yeah, insurance does seem like a scam. However, had I not had any, I'd been so screwed right now. I know that the toyota dealership is doing a whole lot more to the truck than is necesary, repainting fenders that had no damage, replacing the hood which was just a little black, etc., but its not my place to say.
  8. Nah 1 1/2 to 2 more weeks. So far theyre up to 14k in damages. The good thing is, theyre replacing my old hood, since it was a little black underneath, and letting me keep it. just needs a little cleaning and its good as new. Gonna try and make a scoop for it. Gotta love dealerships for gouging insurance companies and buying more than they need.

  10. Im sorry but your friend is full of it if he thinks he has 400hp with just an intake. I have and Intake,exhaust, headers, and a custom tune and im barely over 400 at the crank. He must believe what the K&N box says and just adds it to the 381, because we all know how accurate that is. Nice Kill. Its always that much sweeter to hand a cocky person their ass, and even sweeter when its a friend.
  11. Those are the V6's with the 300 hp right? Pretty damn impressive. Arent those the same motors going in the new V6 camaros? Think those things are gonna be rated at 0-60 in just under 6 sec and low 14 1/4.
  12. Ive already accepted the fact that i'll never be a pro drag racer as my r/t always suck.lol. The best r/t ive ever got was a .5. The only time ive ever ran the 1/4 was about 6 months ago and I did terrible. This was before my tuner and after the headers. The headers really slowd me down. I couldnt get better than a 9.5 in the 1/8 and ended up with two 14.8's, and it was starting to get hotter. I was really disapointed that the headers didnt help. Really screwed with the air fuel ratio. Kinda sad when stock guys are runnin 14.1's. Hell when i was getting my truck tuned, I picked up 20 hp just from messin with the A/F, not including the timing advance. So, im looking forward to next month. Got any tips on how to improve my r/t? Or is it just skill? lol
  13. Heres my best run so far, but it was from back in May when I only had intake and exhaust and a clean launch. 9.1@76mph Since then ive added headers, a tuner, and got it custom tuned. A couple weeks ago I couldnt launch no matter what I did and kept spinning really bad. The best I got was a 9.3 but it was at 76 mph still, so im sure if i can get traction ill be into the 8's on my 1/8 and possibly 13's in the 1/4.
  14. stock crewmax- low 15's high 14's stock doublecab- high to mid 14's stock regular cab-really low 14's First guy to break into the 13's with a rcsb only had a flowmaster and intake.
  15. I plan too, wanna see what the custom tune does for my times. Im really hoping to be into the 13's...maybe a 13.8 or so, that is if i can hook up. Had a real hard time getting the tires to bite at irwindale a couple weeks ago.
  16. Mods are becoming more available for us Tundras and there are a few titans well into the 13's and one guy into the 12's. I know this isnt too impressive when guys like chase and co. are into the 11's, but considering the aftermarket available for you guys and and then compared to the titans, theyre doing pretty good with what they have. You so Cali guys going to fontana in november? Be cool to meet some of you and see some of your rides.

  19. You know, I know im not too old (ripe age of 26) but back when i was in HS (c/o 2000) 20" rims where like Baller status. They looked huge. Now most trucks come with 20's stock, mine included, and its so normal looking. Now its 22's, and 24's. I gotta buddy at work that has an H2 Hummer with 28's, its redicules. Am I the only one to notice this? BTW nice kill on the charger. Another Hemi down.
  20. Are you serious? This is really a question? Your really worried? Sounds like he may be a little faster than a RCSB 5.3. You should have no problem smoking his arse. Dont get caught up in the hype of name brands and custom junk. Look at the foose f150. 500hp and a very lightly modded SS would kill it. Stop wondering and take him already. Get it on video. He may have 5 more horses but im sure you have alot more torque.
  21. lol, omg you guys...so much love..lol, your all kick ass fellas too. Just feels like i fit in more here regardless of what truck i drive. Not too many people get the whole "making a truck go fast thing". And i absolutely hate the guys that say trucks arent for racing. "Wanna go fast, buy a car". Well I love knowing that 90% of the time when im at a light i can smoke the guy next to me, car or not. Im sure for some of you its more like 95-99% of the time.
