Both of my seats act like there is slop in the gears of the seat. This happens when braking/accelerating, but not when using the power seat motors. I have a 99 Silverado with power seats and it does not have this problem. I've searched and didn't come up with much. Is there an adjustment or something I can do to remedy this? I checked and it is not the seat frame-to-floor connection, it's definitely in the seat adjustment mechanism somewhere. Thanks!

Ok, well I brought my new truck home today and one of the couple things that is wrong with it is the issue stated in the thread title. I googled it and sorta found a recall issue but nothing specific. Does anyone have info on that or any typical issues that might cause this? Thanks!!!

Yea, that's true too. I guess the only SS I've seen up close for an extended amount of time was an '06 and I never really paid attention much otherwise until now.

I'm looking at buying an 03 SS that has the dual slider climate control, not the digital one that I thought was standard, is this a bad sign? I understand if it's missing a radio as people put in aftermarket ones all the time (who knows why, I never would!) but to downgrade from the digital one, really? The truck is in another state so I can't necessarily check it out now. Would a regular control panel plug in and work properly? I will definitely swap it back but I'm hoping it's just plug and play. Perhaps it's just a BCM thing and the non-digital panel just sends the bare minimum to get things working, the dealer said the AC works fine and that's how he got it. Everything else is legit from what I can tell and the autocheck came back fine. VIN: 2GCEK19N931304893

arent swirl marks are caused by using things that move in a circular format? sure a da isnt an exact circle but it still does that. i just do things by hand and 'go with the wind' in a linear motion. no swirl marks bc there isny any motion to make a swirl.

as far as i know SS stands for super sport. that website is advertising it as Super Street. which still has the SS initials, but isnt exactly what GM refers to it as. so its just a marketing scam, doesnt break any laws that seem relevant.

so you want to go from gmc front end to silverado front end? well all the sheel metal bolts on, you gotta get the bumper brackets for the front bumper to bolt on. im not 100% sure about the ss cover, im pretty sure it slides over the regular silverado one. i havent been able to get anyone to confirm it. and with the side cladding it double side tape and clips on. i havent been able to figure out how many peices there are, ive read 8, but that doesnt make sense as in which panels get it and which dont. not sure about the rear bumper. good luck and take pics, im sure to do this when i get a full size some day
