  2. thats what you get for not having an engine in the front...
  3. isnt that a bitch, that better be the owner driving. lol
  4. ive been wondering how a full size fits in a storage unit... good deal
  5. that would be the easiest route, no down time and perfect match and orange peel. edit: that link shown just goes to a no-go results page...
  6. i know nothing when it comes to tuning sound, but ill have to agree. i hate it when i cant hear anything from behind me. it drives me nuts in my reg cab s10. but im not changing a thing bc im getting a silverado in a month or so.
  7. how do you get ahold of genuine gm vinyl? or is it from the supplier that gm used?
  8. do those rear buckets bolt in? i dont think ive ever seen that done. gonna do a rear center console too?
  9. pics of said curb rash please
  10. id love to pick that thing apart. im sure it looks fine in pics or if you just look at it. but im sure if you know what you are looking at its really cobbed together. 'blind em with the shine' we always say!
  11. was the suede as easy as dropping the head liner, spraying with 3m spray adhesive, applying the suude then re installing the liner? looks pimp as hell
  12. center caps say ss on them, isnt that what they are supposed to say? id def be all over this deal, except i havent even bought my truck yet. lol. going this weekend to put a deposit on an 03 black ext cab loaded leather blah blah and converting it to an ss eventually, and these wheels are exactly what id be looking for: price, location, condtion... too bad..
  13. you dont need anything special, you could pour it in, but its not necessary. just hook it up and open the bleeder, also take the top off the reservior and make sure it stays full. then walk away for like 4 minutes. come back and fluid should be trickling out of the bleeder. top off the reservior. close the bleeder. go find someone to push the brake pedal. have them apply pressure to the pedal (do not pump), and dont let up until you say so. open the bleeder, let the fluid/bubbles run out, close the bleeder, have the person lift their foot, then re-apply pressure. open the bleeder. let it do its thing, close the bleeder. repeat until just fluid comes out. make sure to keep the reservoir full. replace the cap and rinse any spilled brake fluid from around the reservoir and caliper with brake clean. replace wheels and forget about it.
  14. maybe call around to see if there is anyone at a shop who has done it before. you def dont want to use any pics or anything, just get something to hold the one piston in so it doesnt pop out as well. first first first take the caliper off the truck now, hopefully you already have. then rinse it out with brake clean so you dont get fluid every where. once you have the good piston held down with a block of wood wedged in there or a c clamp or whatever make sure the square o-ring seal, and dust boot are properly seated. then place the piston gently on top of the dust boot. then get an air line and lightly put air in through the brake line hole. the air will blow up the boot expanding it enough to let the piston go through. you will probable have the boot pop off the seat its in many times. but eventually youll figure out how hard to push the piston in and how much air to use. once you get the right combo it wipp go 'pop' and the piston will slide right it. put it back together, lube up the slides and bleed it out. then advertise that you can rebuild calipers. lol. i made some money rebuilding a set of 240sx calipers. but that involved sand blasting, grinding smooth, painting and putting new seals in it. if a set of calipers has the e brake built into it i wouldnt mess with it. a lot of tricky stuff invloved with that deal
  15. you would think so, along with a center console and leather, but i was just looking at a post where the truck did have leather or a center console. next people will have an ss with chrome bumpers.
  16. the price seems good for an 06, ive just never seen an ss with out a center console... or leather...
  17. ive rebuilt a few cailpers before, and some go ok, some are a pain. idk what that guy told you, but i used air to bellow the seal out enough to sneak the piston by. next time, just crack the bleeder a bit to allow the piston to come back a bit, and use an old pad to push the pistons back in, also. a c clamp vise grip works well because you can use leverage. you learn best by doing it the hard way. lol
  18. yea the control allows you to turn the brakes down when you are towing an empty or light trailer so the brakes dont lock up, or turn it up when carrying something heavy so they actually help slow the trailer down
  19. whats involved with a non ss to ss bumper conversion? does it just slip over the chrome part? i searched and couldnt find anything percise.
