Dude, IMO I would keep it, it looks damn nice, and if it's an auto, I'd have to believe you got a 4L60-E trans, I'd got to a junk yard, craigslist, eBay, or last place, Advance, and get a 6.0L... Hell even a 4.8L or 5.3L would be nice. by the time you sell the truck, find a nice SS that hasn't been butchered, beaten, or modded to some elses liking, then mod it to how you want it... You might come out spending the same in the end.
I'd get a V8 (4.8, 5.3, 6.0, or go nuts a put a 6.2 in it), wiring harness, shift kit for the trans, and a posi or locker. start there. by that my two cents.

No, really don't need them too bright, the stock brightness was good for me, SIMCO is gonna install custom Joe Gibbs Gauges on the truck for me, one with a trans temp.

Same thing happened to me at my dealership, whatever, buncha dicks, but yeah I sent it off for a complete rebuild, then I'm gonna sent it to SIMCO guages, then once all thats done I'm gonna need the reprogram.

I like the websites name... Always liked that way of spelling Silverado, maybe shorten it to just 'Silverado.com' drop the SS. I see lots of clones, NNBS, and some Z71's (I'm guilty of that) You could add sections:
454, 350 SS
Joe Gibbs, RST, Southern Comfort, and King of the Mountain
NNBS, 07+
Just a thought, but at the very least, don't drop the name / logo of the site, I LOVE IT, I'll pout if ya'll do....

Insurance is a racket, pay us a $1000 +/- a year and if anything happens to you're vehicle, it's covered... oh no wait, that isn't covered... assholes....

yes a used cluster can be reprogrammed for VIN, hours, and mileage. I just had mine done $190. http://www.fixmygauges.com/
The VIN will enable or disable the DIC, according to what was originally on the truck. I believe any place with a TECH 2 can do it. Some dealerships will and some wont.
Were you able ship it to them or did you have to go there in person?

I mean if someone says they put a used cluster in their truck and it works no problem, then I will rebuild the 2500 cluster and drop it in. Just need some bravado to do it.

Ok, I have a 2500 guage cluster that matches my 06 cluster, except it has the trans temp on it, I really want to put the trans temp cluster in my truck.
My questions is, can a used cluster be reprogramed? the local dealer says no, they also said that a used radio couldn't be as well and I proved them wrong. I'm really hoping I can!!

It is bout 80K for the maggies, Lady I talked to a MangaCharger a few weeks ago told me 80-90k miles.

A lot of factors to consider, I went with a Magnacharger. I have a buddy with a Gibbs Silverado and after driving his I fell in love with that blower. mine took about 3 hours to install, granted my truck is a flex fuel, and I didn't need to upgrade the fuel pump in the tank.
First, think of the look you want, like 907BlownSS said the prochargers are a bit of a pain, I recently put one on a Trans-Am for a friend, a bit different then the truck but still a bit of a pain to do. For my 2 cents, go with the magnacharger, it's called the most complete supercharger kit for a reason.

Gotcha, Junk yards, salvage places I guess if you want OEM, maybe eBay, all trucks in 06 and 07 classic came with them.
