Usually the problem involves the assembly locking up and not letting the tire down lol kinda wish mine had come down like that...

Any thoughts on why my ball joint boot maybe torn? I know it happens but just curious
-
Now i have to go and chase down a nut and also the measurement plate piece... after more time around my suspension i found one of my DJM ball joint boots torn, pretty sure this means i will have take tension off the torsion bar and then pop the ball joint out of the spindle... damn the luck (but i dont think the ball joint is bad)

I have been noticing a clunk noise while turning and hitting bumps just right... I was thinking it was my right side tie rod and have been putting it off. Well i finally decided to jack the truck up and do a very thorough inspection of everything. I checked everything and things seemed fine under the truck. I crawled out and went to do a wheel bearing check. I grabbed the tire and the whole tire moved an inch and a half as i heard the clunk!! This couldn't be the wheel bearing/hub. I wiggled it some more and looked back at my upper control arm and found this....
Upper Control Arm nut and the adjustment markings piece were gone (this is on the passenger side and on the bolt closer to the cab)
I could pull the bolt out with ease...
I have not touched the upper control arm in any way as far as repairs or even when i lowered it. My gues is that the alignment shop did not get the nut tightened tight enough and that it backed itself off. (Not going to that shop again)
I think that i got very luck that the bolt did not come out. What i found odd was the truck did not have any pull going down the road but did have very mild pull under heavier braking. This is where you adjust for camber angles, when camber is out of spec you get a pull in most cases.....Anyone know why i wouldn't have pull going down the road?

This is my exhaust right now... Corsa Sport with High Flow Cats, stock manifolds
-
Use the search and there will be a plethora of info on this....
but CORSA SPORT FTW! Headers are a great addition to a Corsa system if you have the money to do both.

My truck had 90,000 before i lowered it and before i lowered it mine sit perfectly level too. My conclusion was that the springs had settled mildly in the rear or the torsion bars were adjusted to be level. I wouldn't worry about it and put a 3/4 drop on it and then you will know for a fact that it has been lowered

I thought chase went with FFR tie rods. If i'm replacing things i'd like to replace with parts that hopefully wont break if price is somewhat reasonable
-
how many miles are on your truck?
-
It was aligned right after it was installed. And i have recently looked under the truck and it looks that one of my tie rods is shot. I am going to replace it eventually. Considering replacing it with chromoly heim joint type tie rods. Angles can be fully adjusted with this type of tie rod. Anyone have input on these?
-
I've noticed that after i lowered my truck that i've got a noticeable amount of bump steer. Was wondering if heim joint style tie rods might solve it?
-
it looks like your front keys are turned up, or youuur shocks are bad
Shocks wont affect ride height. Torsion bars could be adjusted to sit level or the rear springs could be a little softer due to wear, causing them to sag a little.
Could be possible that it has a different shackle too.

Well done... Whats your mods?

wow guys
I'm a v8 guy at heart but a turbo 4.3 would be cool because it would be wayy different. Maybe not the best bang for your buck. Just depends on if your looking for different or if your just looking for performance.

Very nice!
