  1. Let me be the first to respond to what you've posted. First of all people like Danny and I can be great pieces of info. To say there is not going to be a disagreement in parts used would be rediculous. At work for example we sent an FLT level V out to RPM for freshening because FLT was 5 weeks out minimum to get it back to us. They made some changes as well as freshened it up. The trans held up to many, many miles of street and track pounding up to as high as 943RWHP on boost setting 3 and a 100 shot. It was only freshend because the torque converter clutch finally gave up. Both companies build good stuff that has run the number time and time again to show how good their product is. The difference in the two so far, the RPM build shifts harder... Danny is very smart and will only improve every day as I have, TJ has, Kurt Urban, etc. The smart one's always improve. The guys doing the same stuff year after year have only picked up on one thing and stick with it because it's all they know and all they'll ever know. You want to know if you should believe your tuner, ask via pm every tuner you can find about your finger pointer tuner and see what they say

Thanks for the praises. I am the Automatic builder @ RPM. You are right. I am always truing to refine and improve the design we have come up with. Ya have to in order to continue to provide quality items. I remember that trans build by FLT. They build good stuff. Everybody has their own little tricks that work in the 4L60's! :chevy:

  2. Ya, I replaced them with new OEM mounts. The origianls were ok. Changed them anyway. What a nightmare to change!!!! :banghead: The noise / vibration / rattle is different now. I does it on hard acceleration with out NO2 now. I have also just changed all the a-arm bushings with Poly bushings. No difference. :banghead::banghead: It leaves the front Diff, half shaft, or wheel bearing. Phantom noises suck!! I wish it would just break so i can find it!!

  3. I need motor mounts. Good polyurthane ones but i cant find any at all for these trucks. I have check every company i can think of. Does any one make any?? Does anyone have any??? :fingersx::fingersx::fingersx:

My mounts look OK but when i spray (N2O) and it sounds like someone is hitting the frame with a hammer ( It is definatly NOT engine knock!!) The left ft grinds and rattles sitting still. It just appered after a 12.15 pass. It Does it the hole time at the track. Half way home from the track, about 10 MI. The noises go away and i can drive the crap out of it with no problems. Just after i spray, it does it!!! :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: Any ideas? I am thinking its the motor mounts but not convinced!

  4. Ran it with a LS2 fogger plate and a 200 shot!!! :driving: 11.724 @ 117.09 !!!! What a rush! Not bad for a mostly stock bottom end 6.2L. All i have is ARP rod bolts and head bolts. I am planning on a Pro-Charger with a little shot on that. I want your spot on the list 04 Chase. :P I dont think my current engine has it. Stock pistons wont take much more spray. I keep tryin to talk my boss into letting me drop his Warhawk in and break some SS truck records. It made 1100 HP @ the wheels (C6 Corvette) with a F1 procharger before it ran out of fuel volume. A F2 and more fuel i could see it making 1500+ HP!!!

:omg: He won't go for it. :cry2:

  5. DO NOT USE AN ADDITIVE!!!! :puke: Worse thing ever invented. You will cause more problems with additives. It turns to a varnish when it finaly goes and gums up valves and wont come off the internals. Additives cant repair clutches. 9 times out of 10 its a clutch issue in a 65e. A 4l65e uses reusable molded pistons. Reverse and Low/rev are the only replaceable seals. The pistons will turn to jelly and be junked by additives. Older trans it can help limp by but not much. It just hides the real problems. :ninja:

  6. I have a vibration starting at about 75/80 mph and i feel it on hard acceleration all the way from 0. its smooth at crusing speeds. It wasn't their before i did the belltech drop kit. Got the 2 degree shim and it changed to 80/85 and still on hard accel. I moved the pinion downward. I do drag the truck and i am often @ or above 85. not sure what to do. :dunno: do i need more shim degree? Any ideas?
