  1. \ Here is a LQ9 compleat engine except no coil packs. 65K mi out of an 03 silverado SS. It had no mods to truck when i got it. I am located in Indiana and i have access to Fed Ex freight and can ship it to you. It ran great when pulled. I swaped it out for a built 6.2L aluminam block. Let me know if you r interested.
  2. They are not too bad. I pulled mine out over a weekend. If u put an aluminam block back in and u swap the motor mounts, DO NOT use the bolts that are in the iron block 6.0. Too short and u will pull the threads out of the block. I recomend a load leveler on the engine hoist. Makes it simple. When u get it over the front diff u need to turn the engine 90 degrees and then bring it up all the way. That is so u can get the harmonic bal out past the radiator support. Good luck!
  3. The only difference in the pump is the introduction of an input speed sensor. It is on the back side of the pump and reads off the reluctor on the input shaft. All the trucks with LS based motors use the big (300mm) stator now. The converters are the same from 60/65/70 in the trucks. Corvette use the small input (276mm) like the old 700R4. With any aftermarket torque converter you should check the distance you got to pull the torque converter foward to bolt it up. 1/8 in is the most u want.
  4. Ether the 3-4 clutch pack is on the edge of gone and bearly holding or the 2nd gear band is burned up. When u kick it down it releases the clutch back and reactivates the band ( kick to second). Excessive clearence in the 3-4 can cause a flare on kickdown. Either way sounds like u are ready for a new trans. My RPM tras has been great for years and had the crap beat out of it. My E.T. Speaks for it self.
  5. Has anyone changed the rear differantial to an Eaton chutch type locker or anthing similar and have issues with binding in sharp turns? My truck does it now a little bit at times with the stock LS carrier in the back. My old truck in 4WD would bind up so bad it would stop moving(with an eaton). I know the AWD transfer case is different. Just wondering if i should go this route.
  6. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Exelent chart!! Very accurate!!
  7. No. It is not nessary. I would have the TCC (Lock-up) Converted to non-PWM. Bascily on and off.
  8. How do the pacesetters fit? Do u get a lot of header ping?
  9. I Agree. You mean Superior Super Blow! Garenteed to blow the 3-4 clutch lugs off the drum due to no accumilation. I got a box full of those junk things. Im gana take them in for scrap!! I got 4L60E's that won the LSX shootout last year in the 12.0 class and in the two fastest C6 Z06 that hold the World Record for fastest 1/4 mile. 9.22 @ 156 mph was his fastest. here is the previous record he had set. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/C6-Z06-...Mile_179285.htm
  10. Send me a PM with where u want it sent and i will send u one.
  11. Try RPM Transmissions. Coustomer service is first rate!! I have had mine for 3 years and beat the crap out of it!! Had it refreshed 6 months ago cause i had the engine out. It got me into the low 12's!!! http://www.rpmtransmissions.com/
  12. The tube style does not disapate heat fast enough. It will flow through too fast and wont cool effectly. I recomend the plate style. B&M coolers work great! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/B-M-70266-S...1QQcmdZViewItem
  13. You said it still moves foward in reverse? It could be a plug up cooler in the radiator or aux cooler. When that happens its like running engine with no oil. If the plannets are welded together, it can cause that. Do u have a higer than stock stall? If so, u MUST have a larger trans cooler or it will overheat. Which can lead to these problems too. Sounds like some of the parts in your trans are good. Im not a fan of the red Alto 3-4 clutch. I personaly think 8 High Energy factory 3-4 are the best with collines!! Clutch clerence is Critical!! .020 to .030.
  14. That is true but its more for holding power not apply power. If your trans is stock inside the corvette survo with the pin u got will work fine. When u have it out add a corvette spring that goes inside the large white spring. It will inprove 3rd gear apply a little.
  15. I would use the sonax super hold survo. They are tripple sealed (3 seals) with 2 d-ring seads and 1 o-ring. The other is 1 lip seal. As for the pin u want to eliminate excessive band clearence or u risk burning up the band. I am not a fan of stock clearence setting. Your stock pin should be a 2 ring. Try a 3 ring and that should be fine. A no ring may be too tight.
  16. Any VB spacer plate that has the # 1 and 2 letters ( eXe. : 1TC, 1PO, 1PU) They require the VB and CA gaskets. All 2 letter ( eXe. : PU, TC, MU) Require the gaskets labled V and C. If u use the wrong gaskrts it may cause a TCC (Lock-up) problem. Watch out for 07 08 4L65E / 4L70E the spacer plate may be a brown or gold color. THE VB GASKETS ARE MADE ON TO THE PLATE!!!! Dont try to remove gasket. Be carefull drilling what u need to. Hope that helps.
  17. Here is another video. This was a 12.44 run with bottle PSI @ 850 with .065 n2o jet and .034 fuel. got the 12.25 with 1000 PSI.
  18. I got a set of OBX headers. I dont like the #5 and #7 cylinder set up for plug wires. Plus, had very bad header ping. sounded like engine was knocking!! I am looking into Staneless Works. They will make a coustom set with high flow cats. Very $$$ but worth it. Ill sell my OBX, I had my Y pipe stanlessly tig welded insead of clamping it.
  19. I am getting at the point where i am starting to break traction. I have had 1.70 60 fts. That run the track was cold and was rough off the line. I am stalling it up on the line up to 2500. I am also running through the stock headers and cat's!! I have got my E.T. up on the board. I am #7 and I will be going for #5 with headers and high flow cats!
  20. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Silvera...rter_188878.htm Here is my 12.36 run. Unfortunatly the E.T. got cut off. I didnt even know this video was shot. There will be others of that same day soon.
  21. UPDATE: The numbers are in!!! On all motor it runs 13.75 @ 97.36 with 1.97 60 FTS. Not bad for moving a lead brick Now on the spray it ran: 12.25 @109.01 with 1.734 60 FTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It jumped side to side off the line trying to get traction. It was a wild ride. It is officialy the fastest 4 wheeled vehicle i have had!! I would love to see a 11.99 but i am afraid to push the stock pistons any harder. The shot may be at a 190. I am using a .065 N2O and .034 fuel in a fogger 2 nosel. All in all i am VERY happy with my truck!! I have a 12.4 run on video. It will be up on youtube soon and i will get a link on here. The line jump, i here, looks wild!
  22. i hear that someone makes a converter box to run a 52 t reluctor on the old 24x style computer. I dont know for sure. may bev a rumor.
