  1. Not to stir the pot too hard but someone should jump in and see if they can buy some of their cam profiles...I'd better order that cam I've been looking at from them before it goes out of stock...
  2. I've heard of this problem with the superior super 4th servo. http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/showthread.php?t=569066 http://www.pacificp.com/forum/viewtopic.ph...30258a0747611d5
  3. Should have been Texas but they are a bit trigger happy around here sometimes. My wifes step brother was recently shot by a local officer 11 times while hiding under a matress...they're in big trouble over that one. To make a long story short they were looking for him because his dauter ran away from her home and came to stay with him. He wasn't allowed to see her because he didn't pay child support (real great guy obviously) when the cops came to the house he was in somone told them he was in the back room hiding under the matress. The officer walked back there and shot him 3 times through the matress (lawyers have the matress as evidence) all the while yelling "Put down the knife" he kept screaming "I don't have a knife!" and the officer kept shooting him while he was on the ground in the fetal position trying to cover up. He's in really bad shape and can't walk or use his right arm. The officer tried to claim self defence and said he was back into the wall while he came at him with a knife. They charged him with attempted capital murder of a police officer but that's not going to hold up in court once the lawyers show the angle he was shot, the matress and how he was shot through that and the fact that even though he's been arrested many times he's never tried to resist arrest. Also where is the knife...nobody knows!
  4. Personally I wouldn't go FI on the stock motor if I had that kind of money to spend. I'd get a forged stroker and hit it with a 150 shot and never have to worry about it. You could come in well under that price range and have a more reliable setup.
  5. You should also check this site out... http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-hybrids-28/ They have swapped a lot of LSX engines into other cars including Mustangs.

    Ferrari

Well if you do race him just be glad that if something breaks on your it will cost pennies on the dollar compared to him breaking something...HAHAHA! No way I'd race on the street with a Ferrari unless my name was Enzo...
  7. I just expect this from chevys for some reason. My '91 whined a little, my '97 whined a little and my '05 whines a little. They never dropped a rear (up to this point) so I figured it's just a common thing with GM trucks.
  8. Speaking of TVS1900 TBSS there is one for sale at LS1tech with 32k miles on it for $19,500. That's a freaking deal. Looks like I was wrong about the site... http://performancetrucks.net/forums/showthread.php?t=413871
  9. I was reading the other day about a guy at LS1tech dynoing with his cutouts open and closed and gained right around 10hp and 10ftlb across the board with them open. I also saw another guy chime in saying he had a single cutout after the Y and gained even more on the dyno.
  10. I was thinking it was around 16* but I'm not looking at the info right now (I'm at work). I guess I should have known there was 10* of spark in these as vettes come stock with around 22* or so in them and there is a lot left in them as well.
  11. Thanks. I've heard the Autolites work well also. I haven't ordered anything yet either...trying to find everything I need at one time so I don't have to wait on 10 packages.
  12. They will if the tuners locks the PCM. Most mail order tuners have everything locked down because they know things everyone else doesn't. If you're looking for the best bang for the buck mod for racing the two that will whoop every other mod dollar for dollar at the track are a stall and N2O. Nothing else comes close for under $1000. PM me and I'll tell you where you can get a great stall you can also tow with in your budget.
  13. Is the most gain to be had at WOT? What's the stock timing at on these trucks? Also what are your mods to be running that much spark?
  14. Thanks for the quick responce. Really helps when ordering stuff online.
  15. Thanks! How about plugs?
  16. I was stunned honestly. We figured 14.6x judging by the way in ran against other trucks but I was seriously shocked when it hit that time. The air temp was fairly cool and I might have had a breeze in my favor but that's what she ran. I know it's running better now with a more in depth tune but I don't have times. I'd guess a 14.20 or better with my cousin behind the wheel. I haven't raced in 10 years at a track so he beats my times handily. The 2-3 shift was falling on it's face even on the 14.30 run. My exhaust has a nasty rasp up top and it would go into KR right at the top of 2nd (false knock). I'm still not 100% on my shifts but I'll have to re-tune all that once the stall is in anyway so I'm not worried about it.
  17. Do you have to build the MSDs yourself? I know the ones I ran before I had to build them myself and that sucked. I'd like a ready made set.
  18. HP Tuners is the software and all I run is 93. I have access to a wideband and I'll be welding in a bung just for AFR when I get my headers on.
  19. TBSS, FAST and the Vic jr are your only options. Hot Rod did a test on the LS6 vs the truck intake and gained nothing. The truck will give you more bottom end without giving up anything on the topend over the LS6. The FAST wouldn't be my choice because of price and I'd say the TBSS if more hassle than the Vic. If it were my truck and all I cared about was how fast she will run I'd go with the Vic. Actually I'd drop a 150 shot through the stock intake and see if that didn't calm my GAS.
  20. If you mean for money then no. If you mean on my own truck then yes.
  21. The Taylors are out of stock at Jegs and Summit. Any others that work good or should I wait?
  22. About how much spark advance is tolerable on a basicly stock SS. How much can you gain by advancing it with a lower temp t-stat and headers? What RPM range yeilds the best gain while keeping it safe. What I mean by that is can I advance it all through the RPM range for gains or would it be better to advance it down low and level it off up high.
  23. I'll be dropping in a set of LTs soon as well as a Circle-D stall and I'd like to replace the plugs and wires while I'm at it. Jegs is about as helpful as my 5 y/o when looking at this stuff so I'd like to know what part number is an exact fit for our trucks on wires and plugs please.
  24. If we want our economy to recover we're going to have to forget being politically correct. To me the first things to be cut should be the handouts.
  25. Did anyone else notice the tires are mounted backwards? I guess I've been getting too much booty lately to care about the chick...
