  1. Im a new member on here, and thought I would post some pics of my ride. Washed her today, so I decided to snap some shots. Built her here recently. 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 with 2006 Chevy 6.0 HO motor/trans. Mods are in sig. She started life as this: Here's the donor truck: Now for the final product:
  2. Ok, in my reg cab pick up, where you have this y-pipe, I have a dual in/dual out flowmaster. So with the obx kit, which has connection pipes, but no y-pipe, could I just cut my currnt piping before the muffler to match up to the obx connection pipes?
  3. That's kool! I bought a $20 Schosche at wally world last night, but when I got my amp in the mail today, it came with a special plug and has a built-in convertor, so all I have to do is connect this plug to my speaker wires and plug it into the amp. Looks like I'm gettin $20 back from wally world!
  4. Well, after talking to a buddy tonight, I bought a SCHOSE (however it's spelled) with full instructions, so I geuss I don't have to worry about this anymore. Whoever can, please delete this thread...
  5. I have a Kicker ZX250.2 amp, 2 10" Kicker CVR's, and a Kicker CK-8 installion kit coming. I have a 2005 GMC Sierra with a NON-BOSE factory system in it. I talked to Kicker today and asked them where to hook up the wires going from the factory system to the amp. Kicker told me that I would have to run some speaker wire from the back of my head unit to my amp. They said I would need to splice the wires into the wiring harness in the back of the factory non-bose head unit. Does anybody know which wires I need to splice? I'm assuming I need to find the left and right speaker wires coming from the factory head unit, splice into them and connect the new wires to the left in/right in on my amp... Am I right? Any help is very appreciated! Thank You!
  6. I did but, no luck on pictures or answers...
  7. Oh, I have the tools... But, the closest exhaust shop that does quality work is 45 miles away, and I know they'll rip me off of because they are about the only people that does good work around here. That's why I'd ather do the work myself. The obx kit I found has hgh flow cats and connection pipes. The way the pipes look, they turn off of the driver's side header and go over to the passenger side and turn back towards the rear of the truck. I do not see any y-pipes or 2 into 1 pipes, so if the obx connection pipes stay side by side on the passenger side, I could definetly do the install myself! The kit I'm looking at says it fits Silverado SS, GMC Denali, and Hummer H2. Anybody have any experience with this kit? Any under-truck pics?
  8. Just found an obx kit on eBay. Right now, I have some 2 pipes coming of my stock mid pipes that go into a dual in/dual out flowmaster that's dumped. With the obx kit, I don't see a y-pipe, so couldn't I buy that kit, install it, and cut my piping a Lil shorter to mate up to the obx mid pipes?
  9. I have a 6.0 vortec MAX in my 2005 gmc sierra reg cab. It has a K&N CAI and a dumped dual in/dual out flowmaster muffler. That's it! How much can I gain from a HP tuners tune? I know the guy real well and he does a good job. He's gonna be down around my neck of the woods in a few days and said he could do a street tune on it for $200-250. But I need to know what I could potentially gain so I can decide if it's worth it to me. Thanks!
  10. I have a 2005 gmc sierra reg cab I put aa 6.0 in. I want just a lil more bass. Not window rattlin "bumpin" goin down the street, just more than my factory non-bose system. I was thinking about a 10" or two bhind the seats, but want to keep the jack and equipment there. Any suggestions? Also, I'm on a pretty tight budget, so what would be something I could do to add just a lil more bass and stay on the cheap?
  11. Could I use some pipe and reducers to make some mid pipes?
  12. Ok, I'm looking at installing lt's on my truck. I cannot justify spending $1,500 on dynatechs, and a buddy of mine has pacesetters on his gto. So far they've been good to him and they fit just as good as the kooks I put on my gto. Now, I know the quality isn't as good, but this is my dd truck, not my show or race car, so pacesetters are good enough for me. I found these on eBay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...126813&rd=1... Will they work and what will I need to install them? Can I cut up my factory y-pipe to fit these with some clamps? Thanks!
  13. I have a 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 that I dropped an 06 chevy vortec max 6.0 in last year. I was looking at pacestter headers on summit racing's website. They don't show any for the 6.0, but do show them for the 4.8/5.3. Will the 4.8/5.3 headers fit on my 6.0 in the 1500 frame without modification? Also with pacesetter's ory, how much of a hp/tq gain am I lookin at?
