  1. It may be a bit overpriced because they might be offering a warranty with it compared to ones on Ebay and private sellers. If you have plans for mods then drop the warranty and thats money off. Make sure your local mechanic knows these trucks very well, I would bring it to a GMC dealership and see what they say and what type of offers they throw at you for a denali.

  2. So I've found out I'll be getting my wisdom teeth removed on the 14th. Are you all ready for pain killer-drugged up Zane? :jester::uhoh:

Me dos, wisdom teeth out along with 2 molars and I am getting my mouth wired shut for 6-12 weeks. I have a dealer plate I could use to go but my meds drop me to sleep within an hour of taking them and thats a :nono: while driving.

Please get some videos/sound clips of a Billy Boat exhaust.

  3. don't let other people drive your truck LOL. I don't let anyone drive my truck, not even my Dad. :uhoh: Some regular TLC will keep your truck looking good all of the time. All your truck needs is a good polishing.........

:withstupid: I wont let anyone drive my truck, even if they put their hand on it they are going to get a screaming at by me. Buff, clay bar, paint cleaner, polish and wax :chevy:

  4. I think GM should have only allowed the ISS spoiler only to the ISS truck, just like they did with the Joe Gibbs edition (needing VIN #s to make sure you own one and not having a group buy).

I did want one myself, but I now see it only as stealing from the ISS by using its unique parts that seperate itself from the standard SS.

  5. I have been told numerous times different production numbers for the different years of the Silverado SS from GM (on the phone) and a few different dealerships and not one can agree with the other. The only SS that is numbered is the ISS. They have 03-04 numbers on this site.

The other way to tell production is obviously by sharing VIN #'s.

  6. Wow, I was told once the fluid leaked out your screwed and have to buy the whole entire mirror (numerous glass repair shops and a couple dealerships relayed this message to me).....please correct me if I am wrong as I have been all over trying to get my glass fixed without having to spend the 700ish for a mirror.

Any pics of before and after NoLegs?

  7. I am not a fan of chrome, so I personally would go with powdercoat or the oem finish. I think the 22 replicas look BA on these trucks. One of my favorite trucks is SS Silv and he has the chrome 22 replicas. At the same time, the chrome does make them stick out very nicely.

Maybe you should look into black chrome?

  8. From Wikidpedia (please correct me if this is wrong):

    [edit] Intimidator SS

In 2006, Chevrolet released a special edition Silverado SS under the name "Intimidator SS" (licensed by Dale Earnhardt Inc.) to honor the late Dale Earnhardt. The truck that came with several minor appearance upgrades, a lowered ride height, performance suspension, two-stage multi-leaf springs, Tenneco shocks, a stiffer front stabilizer bar and harder front jounce bumpers, but left the bulk of the truck the same as the regular SS.[4]

  9. Maybe the crumple zone should be better and the seat should not come off track, however in my accident as a passenger in a ford explorer the passenger compartment was alot more twisted and mangled than the silverado in that video. In my incident we hit a telephone poll at 43mph and I credit Ford with building one helluva strong frame and it saved my life no question. My moron friend managed to hit the poll on the passenger side headlights, so I got the brunt of the accident waking up with my head between the dashboard and cracked windshield.

The one thing that is really hard to compare in these accidents is my idiot friend hit a telephone poll and that Silverado hit a barrier. Im interested in seeing how the Explorer does just for a comparison.

Regardless, that Ford saved my life, and I believe these Chevy trucks are safe. Maybe not as strong as Ford though. Ill always stick with my bowtie. :chevy:
