  1. Of course I already did that and he had nothing but excuses. In all fairness, he did refund the entire $1,700.00 after I sent him pics of his jacked up paint job without me even asking for my money back. At the end of the day and 3 weeks after I ordered it, I paid Gaylords just under $1,600.00 to fabricate and paint it to match my truck, then ship it to Killer Paint. They had it for 2 months and I paid another $440.00 in shipping to have it shipped home from them. The sad thing is I now have to find a competent paint shop around here in KC to sand it completely down and do it all over again since the paint job is so bad it makes my whole truck look like a hack job. Sure it looks okay from a distance but up close it makes me want to vomit! :puke::puke:

It is a Bummer deal when something like this happens. And please don't think I am making an excuse for anyone. But I really feel it is hard to find people that take things seriously some time. As an enthusiast, we hold our trucks(or cars) to a different level. And some people just can't comprehend that. I do feel your pain. I hope you find someone locally that can do a knock down job and fix your bad deal, and for the right price! Good luck!

  2. I don't get that. I was running 22's with general grabbers. And leaving the line at 2-3 psi and blowing the tires for a truck lenth or two. That's awesome for you!

I'm fixing that damn problem though. 4 drag radials on my stock 20's should do the trick.

Your truck is really moving good though!! Wait until you turn it up to the top of the 2bar sensor!! Good job!

  3. Just with in the last week, my tapatalk app on my iPhone has started saying my email is not confirmed. I have tried to confirm it, AGAIN, but it never actually sends the confirmation letter to my email. And I have checked my junk mail too. I have even erased it and reloaded it twice. Same thing. Any ideas guys? I use tapatalk all the time for this website.

  4. Little update on my build.

It is getting close. I have been fightin a lot of little problems here and there. Biggest problem was my converter had the wrong plate on it and it wouldn't seat the converter snout into the crank. It took me a few days to get measurements from everyone concider ing everything, and I mean everythin is aftermarket.

The engine itself is pretty much finished up. I can't work on my cold side piping until I get the converter back this week and get the tranny on the cross member to get the engine sitting where it needs to be.

Zippy is working on a base tune for me, hopefully I will have a need for that in a week or two. I need to get this thing fired up before it snows. I doubt it will be moving under its own power before snow since I still have to get some driveshafts but I would like to get an initial startup.

I am going to do some serious harness modifications after I get everything done and running. That definitely needs cleaned up. I'll throw up some pics later this week.

  5. I have Baer upgraded big rotors that are slotted and drilled. I have had them for two years with now problems. But they weren't cheap either. I think the guys are right, try to stay away from slotted or drilled unless it's a proven brand. If I was to do it over again, I would just do the SUV upgrade. If you need rotors and shoes anyways, there is not much additional cost to do this upgrade. And there is a large improvement over stock.

Edit- these are what I have on the front and back. But on the back I had to buy the SUV caliper. It takes the larger caliper than what is on the 03' awd. I have the eradispeed +1's.

    Good product! Kinda spendy though.

  6. Well. Here is a few updates. Slow progress.

I tried to install the tranny last Friday and I checked my cross member to find this.

I didn't put enough material in to spread out the end pieces from where I cut the crossmember. I will get it fixed this weekend.

So I started assembling the rest of the motor parts. I got the water pump and a/c put back on yesterday on my lunch.

I have the fuel tank completely done now. I am waiting on a few fuel fittings and then I can start puttin the fuel lines together.

  7. Where's the progress pics?? LOL :jester:

I'm still hoping you can get that thing together and running before the end of summer.

I am trying. But things just end up getting in the way. I would really like to get this thing on the road before first snowfall, but I don't know.
  8. Truck looks Great Randy I wouldn't go any lower if it were me. Great job man truck has come along way man.

I second this. With big horsepower you need to make sure your cv axles are at as flat of an angle as possible to keep from breaking them all the time. If you can spare a little bit angle, then by all means drop it down, but I say only if.

And you are going to end up with big horsepower!!

  9. your going to love the 80e

Yeah? You think so? I think the main reason I am going to like it is that I have a stronger tranny now. I was always waiting for it to pop!

I am finally making some more progress on this thing again. Life has gotten into the way a few times here this summer.

  10. Keep an eye on the front axle input seal and the output seals. My wife's 08 TBSS we sold when it has 34k on it and I think we had done 3 or 4 seals in that front axle under warranty. I think it was from the extreme cold up here in Ak that caused the problem. Just something to watch. Others than that, we loved ours. It was the carbon black.

It's pretty wild how they cram everything into that little truck. I did the 4hi mod, lol! Took me a while to figure out that the resistor had to go under the drivers side passenger seat
