  1. Besides headers I do have a good exhaust. Dual 2.5's to flowmasters ( i didn't install them) According to the 2 mph gain I gained about 15whp from the tune. Even Justin said I should gain 15-30hp with my mods. While technically true, its the lowest possible gain. Maybe I expected too much due to all the positive reviews I found, though I never found anyone that said they only had a .2 gain....

Headers make the biggest difference (compared to a cat back set up). Honestly a 14.6 is decent for your mods if you had a DA of 1100'

  2. Ive been reading posts on here for quite a while now. Ive heard the name Zippy quite often. How does it work for a tune? I was under the impression you had to bring it to someone with a dyno and they basically run it, and adjust the computer accordingly? I also heard of someone "sending you a tune". Im assuming on a flash drive or programmer or something? Never done this before....

He would send you a tune on a PCM. Then you just replace yours with the one he sends. Give him a call and also ask about HPTuners. That might be something you'd be interested in. After having this expensive build done you'd want the tune to be spot on.

  3. Can't do that in Cali man... you will get sued by them or their family if you kill them and they WILL win in that state :/ Plus, if you were protecting your stuff only and not in immediate/imminent danger of death then you will go to jail for murder.

Oh, so it is like Canada then. That's crazy.

  4. The best deals I've found are at Walmart ... Mine puts out their ammo deliveries for Tue & Thur mornings ... But you have to go early, as it goes quick (before 8am). I'm averaging $0.05 a round, for .22LR ...

Sounds like you guys are paying Canadian prices for ammo. Which I find odd because usually things are cheaper in the states. I've put a few thousand rounds through my 10/22 and it's pretty good out to 65-75 yards, after that I go to my savage mark ll FVXP. If you're close to the border and there's a cabelas on the Canadian side, it might be worth a crossing to stock up. My local cabelas has more ammo than you could carry.

  5. Yeah, it is throttle related. There is a table in the PCM at that controls when the AC is turned off. For example my AC is commanded off at over 5200rpm. I believe there is also a table commanding the AC off at certain percentages of throttle. Example %90 open = commanded shut off.

  6. If the wheels are not off the ground you will airate the oil. The pump with push the air and the oil at the same time at high pressure when you turn the steering wheel, mixing the two. It will seem full, but because hydraulic oil holds air so well it will retain the air bubbles for several hours. After a good 6 or so hours it will separate again, and air will be in the system. Hydraulics 101, don't load the system when purging air. GM says to lift the wheels for a reason....
