Welcome, from Santa Fe, NM
-
thank you
They are polished aluminum panels cut out from patterns I made. They did turn out nice but are a B*TCH to keep clean for sure. The other alternative I have seen is there was a guy at one time that made the underhood insulation pads with a chevy bowtie in the middle of it. Not sure who it was but it was pretty killer.
that's the reason I'm still looking for other options, imo the black thing makes the hood look tacky
-
the little girl parking her bike was hilarious
-
damn dude, that is one bad@SSS looking truck, what did you use for under the hood?? looks great, I've thinking about replacing the black thing that is currently on there. I might do something similar to
yours, but who knows.
-
those lights look great, one question though. How much amperage do they consume? Noticeable?
I do not know how much amperage they consume, but I noticed that when I turn on the high beams while the low and the fogs are on, the battery needle goes down just a bit and then goes back up right away.

Chevrolets RCSB Silverado SS concept truck had a roll pan with the exhaust tips to match the front ducts. That look can be duplicated using the BSER rollpan.
another reason to start saving
-
The difference is the BSER roll pan is one of only 2 made that's designed to fit the SS body cladding.
it makes sense, thanks
-
ok for real this time lol, i am going to plan on trying to get on the 15th of october (or around that time) a BSER rollpan and i was wondering if anyone wanted to help me get my 3 need to order or if anyone has one laying around and dont want it let me know...... thanks guys
what is the difference between a roll pan and a BSER roll pan?? there is a guy here in town that can get a roll pan for $200, I don't know where he gets them from but I could ask him and he also paints them.
-
yup, it would look really good (imo) with the 2 vents in the front and the exhaust like that in the back
-
i didnt know they made a GMC RST but then again i have only seen like 2
oh and i couldn't get a pic of the inside but it had a badass center console it was a jump seat but it had the cut outs for the captain chairs anyone got a pic i was trying but i think a guy thought i was going to steal the truck
That is the bumper that I want, has someone added that bumper to an SSS??
-
Has anyone done this before?? I just bought 2 underhood lights that I will be installing as soon as I get them. Any tips or info on installing them would be appreciated. Thanks.

It was likely the previous owner that "upgraded" it with the badges, note the exhaust. I find this kind of thing hilarious. Here is one my wife found in a parking lot.
This is an even bigger fail, beacuse I think those are TBSS badges not SSS, some people, lol

You my friend are a moron..Your right...racing on a street is in no way shape or form dangerous..because people dont pull out in front of you, people never lose control, etc.. and the fact you are willing to put your daughter in that situation says alot about you..I have a daughter and would never even consider it...It is one thing to put yourself in danger but it is totally different to endanger someone else especially your kids
THIS
-
I could not disagree with a statement more...Seriously its ok to put your family and kids in harms way?
Has to be the stupidist f'n comment I've read on here in a long time...
But ooh let me guess...nothing is going to happen..it never does...let me tell you all something..I have had friends die from harmless street racing.
Keep it at the track
I totally agree, keep it at the track, when my daughter is in the truck with me I usually go a couple miles under the speed limit, you never know what might happen.

To any memeber who has any input from experience or hear say, whats the difference between HID ballast for Hi/Lo beam bulbs? I mean can I use the same ballast, I know that the High bulbs are 9005 and the lo bulbs are 9006, but is there a difference other than that when dealing with HID's? I was looking at buying 2 sets of the slim digital 35W HID kits, one for the highs and one for the low beams, but ive heard that I might need bi-xenon ballast for the high's?????? Any input is appreciated! Thanks
I have hid in all four and I didn't need any special ballast for the hi-beams, I think that as long as you order the right bulb size you won't have any problems, oh and by the way I paid 40 dollars for the hids on ebay, when I bought them my friend told me that they were not going to last since they were the "cheap" ones but I've had them for almost 2 years and no problems
-
just for all members info I have had a bad dealing with this guy
I had good luck with this seller, I bought from him a pioneer indash dvd player, the only thing is that it took him some time to ship it but other than that everything went good, but again that was my experience

poor ss
WTF why do people ruin a perfectly good SS..If it was a regular chevy I would like it but not on a SS
This , It's not that I don't like lifted trucks but come on, an ss, that is freaking retarded
-
sounds good I really like the look of the dual tips, I'm going to the local shop to see what they quote me for the tips
-
