  1. None came with a hose attached that I have seen -'03 and beyond. Although the little loop is on the side to hold your hose. I went and got the hose and just had the guy give me the hose off a '99 5.3L, which was the last truck I had with the hose.

Mine was stiff. I took a pair of needle-nose pliers and put it over the raised center piece and turned and it came with little effort.

  2. Boy....60lb injectors sound like a little overkill for your mods, IMO. If it has been proven that the injectors provided with the Radix system are inadequate, then they can't be that far off with the stock motor and the Radix limited boost ability. Personally...I would go to the SVO 42lb injectors and see what that gave me. They are easier to tune and the SVO injectors are "the" standard as far as injectors go. It will still require you to go through the process of raising the rails. You will need to solder in new pigtails and Speartech has those, or you can also get them at Summittracing.

Do a search. I have posted what it took to put car style injectors on the stock rails a few times a ways back. If I remember right, the rails needs to go up 5/8". I went to Home Depot/Lowes and got 1/4" galvinized pipe and cut the length I needed. Comes in very small sections. Then all you will need is longer metric bolts that matches the added length requirement. Push come to shove, you could just stick all of the injectors in and measure the gap between the bolt-down tab and the manifold bolt hole.

  3. I wouldn't use more than a strap wrench and a ratchet. A pulley puller is too extreme. I can't remember, was the nut on the pulley reverse threaded? I don't think it was, but that was a while back for me. Doing it by yourself may be a little hard if you are holding the strap wrench also.

I would be very careful with how much you beat on that thing. They are fairly stuff, but I wouldn't do it too many times if it was not making any difference. I tapped my pulley off with a rubber mallet, but they were baby taps from the back.

  4. dam ben you are making up for the lost time you had, good to see you back .

Thanks Chase. If you mean the amount I have been posting the last couple of days, no way I could make up for the time I've been gone. I haven't really gone outside OT/G yet though. Who knows....maybe :dunno::jester:

  5. If you plan to modify your exhaust to the muffler anyway, save money on the headers and go with Pacesetters. Then you can use what you save to modify all the way back.

I have had Pacesetters now for going on 2yrs and they look just as good or better than the $800 ASMs did after only one year. I have 3" pipe all the way back to my muffler with cutouts just before the muffler - single flo~pro muffler, dual in/dual out.

Never used/seen the OBX, so not downing them.

  6. If you are not using the pen magnet idea for the lifters, get yourself a couple of them anyway. When you release pressure on the spring and the locks loosen up, reach in with the magnet and it will pull them right out. Keeps you from dropping them onto the head also. I don't remember that in that article.

You can even replace the oil pump and not drop the oil pan. You will have to loosen every bolt and tip it down though.

Pick up a few of the clips that are on your tranny lines where they meet the radiator. It will save yourself some heartache and frustration if you drop and loose one. Zippy can hook you up with the part number.

  7. Idle air controller, PCV, O2 sensors. O2 sensors will cause the SES light.

How about a Haynes manual? In every one of them I have used there is a way to decode the SES light without having to use a scanner. It may be that your battery light blinks a code or something, but usually you do not need a scanner.

I have a '91 Honda and the above listed items are some of the things I had to do. Is the sea foam stuff injector cleaner? Never used it. If it were American I'd say possibly fuel pump. I would do the inj. and pump last.

  8. I thought you and all of the old timers would enjoy that pic. Rich really seemed to like you :jester: I bet he would make breakfast for you :D

WOW! Sorry to hear that. Hopefully everything works out

That's f***'d up. Funny - but f***'d up. I'm sure he is somebody's bitch over on the Dodge Dak site. They loved him just as much there. I remember going over there and starting a thread just for him and boy did they pile on him.

Soon to be single is a good thing, trust me.

  9. Never really cared for Chuck. When I started watching it a little over a year ago I sort of rooted for the underdog when he would fight. Just never really liked him. I saw the fight when Jackson beat him and bust out laughing when he was hit, but felt a little let down. That fight had all the look of a real beating by both fighters. Paying $40 to see it and it's over in less than 1 round pisses you off - I don't care who you are.
