  1. Hey Guys. I have along with my 03 SS a 03 Impala LS with the 3.8 engine. The Impala is about to roll over 55,000 miles and I want to know what everyone thinks about using the dealership to do a filer change and new fluid on the transmission. I am having NO problems with the car at this time and want to keep it that way. I just don’t know if I will be getting into trouble with having the service done. Some say let it go, others say do it now.

What about it Zippy and Mr. P ?

I want your thoughts on the service as I can’t get under there and do it myself.

  2. The black truck is Frank5L. He lives in Arkansas. That is a 9 sec truck on the right day. He has it back together and running the last I heard. An oil line broke and caused him to lose traction. This one of the things that happens when you have that much HP.

  3. Your questions mean that you don't have a clue as to how to size a supercharger. Please take your time and enjoy the learning experience and see what different size blowers are designed to do.

Remember that new ZR1 Corvette is using the 2300 on a 6.2 liter at low psi. The 122 would be a much better choice. I have not heard of anyone shipping a 2300 as of yet.

  4. I get that the custom tune is better for all out power, but I want to ride at 13MPG around town like I am now, and be able to flip a switch and get the power only when needed. I know Bully Dog and a few others are starting to give you 3 different power options, plus letting you go online and input your mods and giving you a "custom" tune to download to the programmer.

I believe it is time for you to do some READING. A SS is not built to respond to a programmer like the diesel, no turbo, no boost. Just fuel, air, timing is going to put you where you want to be.

Do your research, and I think you will agree that a in person tune will give you what you want out of the SS.
