I can take some pics and send them to you if you'd like. The person I bought the truck from almost immediately changed out the exhaust system after he bought the truck new back in '04, so I would say there's no more than a few thousand miles on them. He gave me the cats and all the original parts he swapped out when I bought the truck from him - he saved everything in case he or anyone ever wanted to put it back to stock. How about $150.00?

Yeah, I think I'm going to return my Circle D and go with a Vigilante. Chris offered me a full refund because he overshot my stall so bad and I'm just pissed off about the whole thing. It's stalling at 3300 right now and will be around 4k once I get everything else bolted on. Make sure you go with Time2Kill's input shaft and not PATC's solution. I think their solution to the 80e swap is an adaptor to make the output shaft on the 80 smaller so it will mate up with the existing shaft in your transfer case.

Really sorry to hear about that. When I bought my truck, I specifically added on an extra 10k for the light mods I have now and will be adding on another 10 -15 after my blower goes on. That's the only way they pay if there's ever a total loss.

I thought about that, but the Volant is totally enclosed and there is a round hole in the bottom of the box. Isn't the headlight removal thing for guys who run a K&N that just has the shroud around two sides and totally open in front of the headlight?

Thanks James. I think Shaun's being sarcastic referring to a recent thread a new guy posted that just bought a totally stock SSS and claims to have whipped a Lightning on the highway. I'm really curious to see what my ram air tube does or doesn't do - just got confirmation I'll be receiving it tomorrow. SO, I think I'm heading back up to Topeka this Saturday for another round of test and tune... #1 - I got my HD camera figured out and wanted to get some more vids 2 - I wanted to see what my ram air tube does to my times 3 - I wanted to get some brake stall runs in to see what that does. The great thing is the weather conditions are supposed to be close to identical so after I test these things, I think I'll have a true baseline established.

Well, I will say there are a few things I can do next time in addition to testing a brake stall. I actually didn't have my Volant Ram Air tube - it's on order and I should be getting either this or next week. Secondly, I could take my tailgate off and third, I had right at 1/2 tank of gas. I think with those few changes, I might be able to get to high 13's ...And I did tell Chris I would wait to see how the converter acts once I get the blower on, so that's the plan. I really do like the top end power it helps me make right now.

No brake stalling - I just stomped on it from an idle. Guess I should have at least tested a different method, but just never thought of it at the time - probably because it was my first time at the track and was maybe a little too excited. I for sure have no wheel spin and I know it's the 80's gearing, so how would I work on getting the 60' time down? Is that something Zippy can address?

lol, I think he was too busy looking at the cop in his rear view...he swooped in on him reeealy fast and aggressive but I didn't stick around to see what happened to him. I'd say for sure a wreckless driving - what an idiot to pull that shit at a busy intersection lol, still makes me laugh thinking about it. I think it's the flames and skulls that make these kids want to try me out ...gotta love it!

Yesterday afternoon I take the SS out to pick my Daughter up from her Friend's house - beautiful day in the mid 70's - pick her up and get behind two white ecsb Silverados who start power braking. Then the one dude sees me in his rear view and signals to the other dude and he looks over at my truck. Anyway, both race to the next light and the kid on the right blows the other dude away. So here I am minding my own business once again and pull up next to the lead foot dude. Mind you, we're in a dual turning lane trying to make a left - I'm on the left (inside) and he's on the right. I look over at the guy and he's got his game face on staring at the light - won't even look over at me. So since I have my 9 yr. old in the back seat, I take off normally continuing to make my left. This dude floors it, spins really bad, fish tails (at a very busy and major intersection) and once we hit the straight away, I punch it just a little bit and then see a cop swoop in and nail this dude!

It won't hurt to al least go check it out to see how much work you'd be dealing with. Looks like the dude is pretty close to you.

Sorry but I don't know what D/A means I do realize weather conditions and elevation effect race times, so I'm assuming D/A has something to do with that. It was 48 degrees and that Race Track is 1059 feet above sea level.

Thank you Gentlemen...it was fun. Here's a vid I took with my phone - it was my very first race of the day. Unfortunately when I came back around for my second run, the Race Master Busted me. You can see in the pic of my truck I have a really sweet HD cam mounted to my rear window that takes a front and back vid simultaneously and records on a mini SD. Unfortunately I just now found out that it wasn't set up right and I only got a short vid of me starting my truck when I was ready to go home...pissed me off

Just got home from the Track and had a great time! I made about 10 passes and they were all very consistent - much better than my prediction of 15.5! I raced a hot babe in a Ford Lighting and had her for more than half way down the track, then she sucked me up right at the end. I made a note of that race on my stub. Also raced a 5.0 which obviously beat me by a few lengths, but I thought it was very respectable for such a heavy ass truck. I have several vids which I'll post up later - bros Temp. was 48 degs. too

Slap an 80e in there and see how that 3rd gear pulls...don't forget to wear a neck brace though
