  1. The only thing a grease fitting would do is to make there jobs easier and get you out the door quicker. I think they should redesign the entire steering shaft assembly to correct the problem. There are better material out there that do not wear out under normal use but they do not want to spend the money. They (GM) probably already have spent more on parts and laber than they would have to fix the problem right the first time many years ago when this all started. Just my two cents.
  2. If you have them on your truck, just look on the inside of the well. It should be stamped in there some where.
  3. Do you have the noise when turning or the noise around 40-60 MPH with a little peddle applied? I'm asking because there are two different growling/winding noises that this truck would make. I had the 40-60 MPH and they replaced the front differential on mine. If that is what you have I could scan the work order from my dealership and email a copy to you top present to your dealership.
  4. The ones you see are machined aluminum bowties. They are made by Shopman1. He is a member on thins forum. PM him and he can hook you up with what you need. here is one of the posts he has for his bowties. Shopman1 Bowties

  7. Time to find a way to bypass it and remove it.
  8. Yes you can unplug it. Ypu can't use it in another car without the dealership reseting it.

  10. Last I heard is that the electric companies in Charlotte raised their price that’s why no one uses their turn signals, to keep electricity usage down.
  11. Where are you located and where did you see the truck?
  12. How well documented are the DEI alarms? Are the instructions good enough for a technically inclined guy to DIY? Mr. P. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> DEI usualy gives you a lifetime warranty on parts but only if a DEI certified shop installs it. You can see in my sig what I have installed. 3 years and no problems yet. And the fictory alarm still works with the aftermarket.
  13. Man, I can't wait for it to snow like that around these parts.
  14. As far as know nowone had anything go wrong with thier tranfercase except those that diconnected the front drive shaft and drove it. That kills the NVG149. Ithink it's a solid transfer case. Hope some of the heavy moded truck owners would chime in.
  15. I still have the factory tires on with 57200+ miles on them (still have about a 1/16" left before they hit the wear indicator). I just ordered thru a local shope a set of 285/50/20 Yokohama Geolander H/T-S G052's. Price was $635 out the door, installed, mounted and balanced.
  16. Owners manual and service manual state 140 ft/lbs for our trucks.
  17. Tim Fort needs a girlfrieng................... or boyfriend.
  18. My 92 Full Size RCSB 2WD GMC did the same thing. Ended up being the fuel pump. I let it run low on gas and it sucked in all kinds of crud and destroyed the fuel pump.
  19. Glad I could help! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If it's not too much trouble could you happen to get that for 05 to verify they are still the same and how about an LS2 car like say a vette of any year? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Here's the 2005 Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Connector End Views Sorry, don't have access to the LS2 or Vette info. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Very cool thanks anyways! This will help in the future. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have the Vet LS2. PM me your email address and I will email it to you in .PDF format. Give me a few days. I'm in Phoenix on the way home and I'm writing this with my PDA.
