  1. no, I did not downshift manually. I gave it more gas in an attempt to get it to downshift 'automatically' thanks for the input!
  2. So I wrote this post on the regular GM-trucks website and all I got was ripped on for abusing my truck. I thought you guys might have something a little more constructive to add...thanks for looking So, I had a buddy of mine in my truck for the first time since I got my tune done and I wanted to show him what she could do. I turned the stabilitrack and traction control off and put it in tow haul mode (this has 0 torque management after my tune). From a complete stop I nailed her. We were on a little of that winter sand and we had the tires broke loose all the way through first gear. When the truck went to shift into second.....there was nothing there! We simply coasted while the engine revved. I gave it gas a couple times and....nothing. So I stopped, put the truck into first and drove, this time it shifted in to second. So, without getting too lengthy here is what it is doing now. When I slow down, to make a turn or something, the transmission will not go into second gear. If i am in 3rd and give it gas to try to downshift it will not find the gear. Most of the time it will shift up to second, but a couple of times after we were in gear, it slipped out and we had to start over in first again. Bummer huh? I'll even add a little more info. I have an '07 sierra with the 6.0 vortec max. My tune was done by Justin at black bear. I had a transgo shift kit and a vette servo installed (i thought these would prevent this problem) Oh and here is a link to the original thread just incase you would like to see what I have been up against http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?...=108878&hl=
  3. That is the same one that I have. Enjoy
  4. Yes it will work, However, when you go to put in the new .500 boost valve you will notice a difference. the new 4l70 has an input speed sensor that the old tranny's didn't have the new v max needs this sensor. I was unable to remove mine and the transgo tech guys (who are very very helpful I might add) said that it would be quite a hassle to remove the sensor with the transmission still in the truck, so I had to leave the stock boost valve in. I did add a vette style servo when I put the kit in and even without the new boost valve I am very happy with the way it shifts. There is only one thing that I am not happy with and that is when the truck shifts from 1-2 under very low RPMs (like in parking ramps and such) it CLUNKS into gear. when the RPM's are up even a little it is very smooth, yet crisp. I think that Mr. P and Zippy have a good explanation for this. something about not enough fluid being pumped. I am going to see if Justin can change my low RPM shift points just a little when I get my tune done to prevent this clunk
  5. I just received a PM from mignulikz. The message had a link in it titled Please Help. The link was to some kind of porn site. Just thought you guys would like to know. It is unfortunate that people have to pull shit like this.
  6. The sonnax accumulator pistons will not work with the transgo springs, get the ones made by transgo if you have the transgo kit. Also, I think that the hd2 kit comes with a new boost valve
  7. Hey guys I started to put a shift kit in today and realized that I forgot to get replacements for the stupid plastic accumulator pistons. I know that I can order them, but my tranny is all torn apart and I really don't want to leave it that way for too long. Does anyone know if GM carries an aluminum version of this part. If so, do you have the part number? One more question. When I went to take out the old boost valve, I found a electrical clip in my way and I mean like right in the way. (it was not like this in the 4L60 that I had in my old silverado) I'm not sure that I will be able to move this and in turn do not know if I will be able to get the boost valve out. Has anyone ran across this and/or have a solution? Thanks Tony

  9. sounds valid, not really a solution though, maybe justin can adjust the shift timing for me. I can't remember exactly what goes on in the 1-2 accumulator when putting in the kit, but i'll make sure to set it up exactly like the instructions say I guess. thanks guys
  10. Hey guys has anyone ever used the vette cushion spring when installing a vette style servo. It is supposed to cushion the 1-2 shift a little bit I guess. I don't know anything about it (not even totally sure where it goes). All I know is that after I installed the transgo hd2 kit in my old truck I suffered from the 'low speed bang into second' I want to install a kit in my new truck, but am afraid of this happening again. will this cushion spring be my solution. By the way it is GM part # 8681195 Thanks guys
  11. what's up with the headers, why so cheap?
  12. I totally agree with you guys our health care system blows, but we do have to remember that moore is picking the worst of the worst situations in america and comparing them to the best of the best situations in the other countries. Furthermore, we as americans will never be able to have a socialized healthcare system, because of 2 reasons, 1. we are too fat and lazy. Heart disease, diabetes, and everything else that comes from being obese is extremely expensive. We have to remember that while other countries are promoting their citizens to exercise and be healthy our media is pushing ****ing pharmaceuticals on us. Making us look for reasons to go to the doctor. 2. We as a hole are not willing to help a fellow american. Some of us are, but most are selfish bastards. Rich people can't imagine getting the same sort of healthcare as someone less fortunate than them. I assume that the healthcare in other countries is payed for by a percentage of one's income. Why would a rich guy pay 10% of his income to get the same healthcare as 10% of a poor guys income. It just won't fly over here. I really really wish that it could, and it may someday, but it will be generation or 2 away.
  13. that's a pretty good reason to change plans
  14. What did your plans change to?
