I live in a sub city of Los Angles, Ca, Im 21, and I have one ding on my record with 0 accidents. I have never taken defensive driving, which could be a good idea for insurance reasons.

ok, cool. I'm defiantly going to check into state farm, sounds like they should be all right. I got the $2000 quote with one ding on my record (which was BS!), and 0 accidents, but I am 21, so I'm sure being 21 they decide to factor in DUI's and drunk driving. also I'm in LA where there are constant accidents and most drivers are just stupid! I'll let you know what the quote will end up being.

Since I have been trying to get an SS I got an Insurance quote from Allstate, and it came out to be just shy of $2000 every six months! I am going to have to switch once I get an SS, so who should I switch to for the dollar to quality ratio?

Yea, I went and looked at that one, and it is a salvage that hasnt been finished 100%. The bumper was placed back on crooked, The paint has over spray, the tires are bald, one SS badging is upside down, and the worst part is the engine looks very close to the fan housing, so the intake rubber tube is all messed up. I'm a little worried about that one... Thanks for keeping a look out though! Thanks!! I'm trying pretty dam hard! I search CL, Auto Trader, Silverado SS, Performance trucks, and Google multiple times a day, and I have a couple friends with car dealerships that are looking at auctions across the US. Before I sold my truck I saw them around, and now of course since its gone I cant find any! and I'm pretty sure the prices for SS's went up a couple thousand which is a good thing for you guys, but bad for me. Yea, Blues are hard to find! they are all over 1000 miles away from me. I do really like silver too, but there hard to find in AWD, and I feel like there is something special with the BLUE!?!

I did the same thing, but I used a plumbers drain pipe since it fit perfectly in the volant ram air hole, then a bought a flange for the end to make it a bit bigger inlet. I definitively felt the difference when I was going 40+ mph, a lot more go when your up to speed!

Just sold my truck today! Happy, but sad at the same time. Right now I am without a car, so I am ready to buy ASAP! I found one guy 10 miles from me who has a blue ss that always sits in front of his house so I figured I would see if he was intrested in selling it. He is a older man who has been getting sick, so he says he may decide to sell it so ill see. Best part about it is it only has 19,000 miles on it! Anyways post up any used Blues you see.

I swear its about every day now that I see the "silly boys trucks are for girls" sticker, and for some reason it bothers me. Maybe it is because they never actually use their truck beds, or understand that trucks are a manly icon? I don't mind if girls drive trucks, but its the ego that usually goes along with it and the fact that they usually take up 2 parking spaces! and when ever I pull up next to them they look at me expecting some sort of reaction since I drive a truck. And my reaction is usually to leave them in the dust. Is this just a cali thing, or is is all over?

I missed the pre order, but I saw a 1/8th to 1/4 mile line in front of the apple store today!!! and funny enough that was for the pre order! all the AT&T stores arround here said they wont be getting any till the 29th, so hopefully I wont have to deal with my broken screen any longer! I was just about to post this than realized someone beat me to it! YUCK!!! It would take a lot of work to get it back up to par!!! This has been the only Blue one for sale within 1,000 of me within the last 2 months!!! But its a salvage, and would require too much work, not to mention the interior needs a huge overhaul!

In LA, it is rare to see a white guy in an SS. It is usually Hispanic.

Well, I'm pretty sure I have a buyer for my truck and he will buy in a couple weeks after his truck sells!!! I will have another car to use, but not for long... I may go black and paint it something simple, but custom later on, but I am really still sold on BLUE!!!

Yepp!! and extremely rare. Only seen about 4 in the wild in my life.

I am looking for a blue SS to buy really soon now!! I am thinking in the month of July, and It needs to be less than 1,000 miles away from LA. My current truck has 170,000 miles and is really starting to get tired now so I think its finally time. Here is what I'm looking for in the truck. -BLUE! -less than 100,000 miles -about $16,000 (may be able to go a little higher) -and less than 1,000 miles away from Los Angeles Please let me know if you have one, or seen one for sale. A good driver can still be aware while on the Phone. They are just rare. If I get caught by police using my phone, it just means I'm not aware enough and I deserved it.

I have tired taking out dents, paint. body work and such on my own. Moral of the story I learned a lot, but don't have the nicest looking truck due to the learning curve...
