So I took it to a dealership near my work and they plugged it into thier computer. It is running 206 degrees, so it is telling the fans to run. They are replacing the thermostat today. It has been doing this since I replaced the thermostat like a month ago. So I must have got a bad thermostat from O'Rielly .

The guage appears to be working normal. It starts at 0 and slowly warms up to below the 210 mark. It did get hot once awhile ago, the guage went up, and my dash gave me an Engine Coolant Hot warning. So I shut it down. I replaced the thermostat and it never got hot again. But now that I think about it, it seems like the fans have been doing this every since then. Do you think when it got hot that it could have damaged the temp sensor or sending unit?

I don't have the A/C on, so I don't think it should be that. I don't think they shut off at above 45-mph either as far as I can tell.

No, I've had the same Wheatley tune for about 2 years.

Hey guys, I'm trying to solve a probem that I started having with my truck a couple of months ago. As soon as the truck warms up, my electric fans turn on high and don't shut off until I turn the engine off. It is really loud and annoying. The engine isn't overheating, the guage maintains right around 200. It's not even hot here, its only like 40 or 50 degrees outside. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions?

Mine had the growl when I bought it at 85,000 last year. No warranty, I replaced all the bearings in the front differntial myself.

Mine does this exact same thing. I've just been too lazy to tear the panel off to look at it. Has anyone figured out what it is exactly?

Black Brake Ducts On Silver Birch
tpankratz replied to tpankratz's topic in Appearance, Cleaning, & Detailing
Alright I think I will just go ahead and do it, I just hope it don't look too goofy with my billet grille. -
Does anyone have any pics of blacked out brake ducts on a silver birch SS? I am thinking about doing it but I would hate to paint them and then not like it.
-
Yeah, the lettering was on there when I got it. I am normally not a fan of lettering on tires it usually looks cheesy, but I kind of like it on here, and lots of people have complimented how good them tires look on there so I think I will leave it that way. They are kind of a mild all-terrain tire that works awsome in the snow, which is good for these long Montana winters.

It is a custom setup I had done here in town, with an 18" Magnaflow dual in/out muffler. It was cheaper than a catback system and it sounds great.

I finally snapped a few pics of my truck, I've had it for a few months now but haven't gotten around to taking pictures.

I am also looking for that file in dxf. dwg. or even autocad format. Please email me also, [email protected]. Thanks

Agreed, the Magnaflow dual in/dual out is a straight through design with now baffles restrictions or anything and it has a built in x-pipe. It is easily the best muffler setup available as far as being free flowing, and they sound bad ass. I have one and love it.
