I've started a new topic for a truck show in the forum. Take a look!

I attended this show last year and had a really good time. At the time I didn't have my SSS because of a bad tranny. There was lightning's, dodges, cyclones and typhoons there. But no Silverado SS's. So I started a local Facebook group (Link in my profile) for our trucks to try and make a better showing this year. So I'm calling on all SSS's in the surrounding states to show just how proud we are of our trucks. I'm hoping for 3-5 local guys too. Here's the link:

They look a lot better with good color schemes and 80's pinstriping. They also came with the Z34 package but that was a V-6. I can't find one in my state so I was looking for other ideas.

Due to the gas mileage on my SSS I'm always on the lookout for a cool 80's gas saver. With today's gas prices everyone is looking for a gas saver. But gas savers really didn't get started until the 80's. And well most 80's compacts are just plain ugly. If you're looking for 28MPG in a 80's car what would be cool besides the CRX. Honda CRX seem too common. I thought of the 944 Porsche but that 2.5 Liter 4 banger really didn't do to well as far as MPG were concerned. My top vote so far is the Cavalier Type-10 Hatchback. Any ideas?

and the 03' SSS used to get 30,000 a year but now I put only 1 to 2000 miles a year on it.

NipRing thats a nice 78' I'm sure youre a member of 78ta.com . I almost asked if it was a Y88 but noticed the lack of gold around the headlights. Is it a W72 400? 8 track or CB?
I've got the same front licence plate in my shop.

Heres a Trans Am bought without a title. I bought the PHS documents for it and it turns out to be a 1977 Y82 Special Edition with the W72 performance package and a 4 speed which is about the most coveted “Bandit “ there is. That’s what I thought it was, thus the reason for taking a chance buying it with no title. I found the original owner which was the same as the registered owner. I sent the release of interest certified mail and actually got a response back from the owners son. He said that the car was stolen out of an impound yard in 1996. I think the real truth, since there was no police report on file for it being stolen, was that he got it impounded and couldn’t get it out. And then the impound yard parted it and let it go with no title and at the same time never taking it out of the owners name.
I ended up paying for it again to get the title from him as he wasn’t interested in taking it due to the condition. Got more history on it too . The Dad bought it new and was letting the son drive it in the early 90’s. It had 28,000 miles when they lost it so it's got a really nice rust free body. And here’s a picture he had of it with his Dad from 1982. And few I took of it now at my house.
I'm just wondering where to apply the SS emblems?.?

I think I'm going to take my wheels off the market for now. My tranny went out and I'm just going to park my truck for awhile.
