how many miles are on them?

Well my ebay cats came in and they turned out to be 3" in and out Magnaflows. ive been searching the site for awhile to figure the cheapest headers to use with these and have come with nothing. Im thinking theres no way I can use the pacesetter LT's because their so long and the cats themselves are so much more longer than the originals or can it be done?. I really like the 3 to 400 dollar range for the PC LT's and would like to stay in that price range, and i am factoring in the exhaust shop fees. Any suggestions? I really want to get my truck back on the road...

You can always cut them off and put some high flow cats in there place. I had them on mine for years and recently took them off. I have headers no cats and a dual in out magnaflow and I love it no rasp. It's loud when u get on it but has a nice low rumble.
-
Thanks for all the help. I went ahead and ordered some new cats. I'll weld them in myself.
-
Thanks for all the info. I did use the search but didnt see what i was looking for. I was mainly worried about torque loss especially since im running true dual exhaust.
-
The foulers would just be a quick fix until i can afford a tune. Im getting a little desperate. Because the truck as been parked for 7the months due to bad cats.
-
Im thinking of punching out my converters and installing the spark plug foulers on the rear O2 sensors. Ive researched the site and noticed a lot of members have done this modification but no one has said if they lost any low end torque or any other cons? I did notice one comment of an extra raspy sound from the exhaust.

This looks like a nice set of headers and high flow cats on ebay. My stock cats are stopped up so im thinking of going better. I already have true duels with flowmaster so I think its time for a cat- forward upgrade. Any opinions or advise?

Your right the one I pulled out doesn't look like the one in the picture so I went to the dealer and they tried to sell me the exact same part as in the picture with the same part number....so I guess ill go with the one on ebay.

Im replacing it with part #12602448 which is supposed to be a original part. Im going to inspect the torque converter the best I can with a flashlight. The link where I bought it is above.

Well for those of you that encounter the same thing it is possible I have the flexplate out in hand.
-
Well I cranked my truck and immediately noticed a grinding noise. Removed the inspection plate and saw the flexplate was cracked in half. I've read in the forums that the transfer case has to come off to allow enough room for torque converter replacement but shouldn't I be able to leave the transfer case bolted on if im only removing and replacing the flexplate only? I actually have everything unbolted including the 3 converter bolts now. Just having trouble separating the tranny from the engine . Any help or pointers?

Wish I could but im in the bay area in California now.

I might be able to make a visit. Ill check back in.

Well......can anyone make it. I've got one maybe two more trucks besides mine coming.
-
Nogo's are good too. Its good to know who would like to make it but can't .
-
Let's shoot for the 21st. Gives everyone more time to plan. I found another blue ss today at burgerking. I believe he'll make it too. I'll be there for sure. Just hope as many that can come. And again it's at the burgerking parkinglot in arlington. There's a oreillys there too. Is there anyone that can for sure make it?
-
I will be in Florida till the 21st, if you end up doing a Sunday I will come down, that is not all that far from me.
Really have to do a saturday because theres a show there every sat. But im usually there almost every other week so myself. Maybe it could be a somewhat continuous thing for those of us close to arlington.
-
Maybe. Not too far away I guess!
nice truck! Hope to see you there!

Wow you sure do move around a lot. What would bring you there?
Corvalis is nice, I dont know it as well as other cities in the valley (Eugene, Salem, Albany Etc..), your only 1 hour from Newport on the coast, and 2 hours to the Dunes, 3 hours to Mt. Bachelor 1 1/2 hours from Portland, and an hour from woodburn which has a sweet drag strip
The dunes and the 1/4 mile drag strip sound good. The company I work for is based out of corvalis.
