I dont really want to buy a new tranny im not looking at more then 500 Hp just going to bold on a supercharger some day and some other bolt ons. Is it worth it to just make my stock tranny stronger with aftermarket parts?

I have about 70,000 miles right now not sure of the past history on how much maintiance has been done. That brings me to my other question...When should i do a overhaul of my engine sense i plan on doing engine mods?

Looks like i will have to go with the 4l80e tranny, 3000 stall converter, and shift kit. How about the transfer cases do those hold up through alot?

There isnt much i can do to my truck now sense i am deployed but i am trying to get all the plans worked out for when i get home. So far i have bought a roll pan from bser and i have the tailgate handle relocater but dont know if i want to do that yet dont want the bondo to look bad. I plan on getting dual exhaust, headers, and race cats if i get a supercharger but dont know what route i want to go yet. Going to get a cowl hood at the same time as the roll pan that way i dont waste paint. I plan on getting a bed cover just a cloth one. I still have to figure out if i need to do the tranny first if so i will wait for the new TB and injecters. I have 20in weld racing rims already. If anyone could give me advice on the drivetrain portion and what to do for the engine build it would be a big help kinda in a bind dont know what way i want to go.

I have been trying to do some research on how much power a stock tranny will take but i have been unsucessful. I want to go forced induction but havent decided if i want supercharger, procharger, or turbo yet. If anyone could help me with the transmission piece it would be alot of help.
