  1. Thats where high stall torque converters come to play. Who cares about low end torque when you have a high stall torque converter to put you higher in the RPM nad off idle :D

That is true, dont have the money for my shift kit or converter yet, obama raped me for 700 in taxes yesterday.. Maybe ill just stock pile it all in the garage and put it all in at once this summer

  2. Time for the truck to get alittle more get up!!

Stainless steel headers are on their way, 160* tstat, flowmonster muffler, Cold air intake, and a wheatley tune for now.. My Grand prix was a blast to drive, the truck is great too, but once you get used to it its time to add more power. Zippy shift kit and more to come in the summer months..

What do you guys suggest for exhaust work? i know this topic has been beaten like a dead horse, but true dual wont provide enough back pressure for the low end torque i love..

  3. Cool, glad it worked. When I tried the bolt on the firewall just cut up my hand. I got mad & tossed the socket in the top of the tool box and called it a day.

yeah i got a acouple bloody knuckles, but not knowing my oil pressure pisses me off, so it was either that or rip the intake off, whick i really didnt feel like doing at the time so it was worth afew scrapes and swear words as usual when it comes to working on anything

  4. just got done replacing it, thx blksport. Taped a small mirror to a piece of pipe i had layin around, figured out right where it was, pulled the plug, got the socket on there and it was off and replaced within 10 minutes. I can see if you have some monster hands where this method would be quit hard, next to impossible without taking off the intake.

  5. Perfect! thanks blksport.. ill be doing it tomorro, have most the tools here. got the part for 35 bucks just need to locate it on the block.. Ill be puttin some new pics up of the truck once i buff her. black is the only way to go :-)

  6. Using monstermilk for protein, got some creakic, gakic and nano vapor coming in! cycling on advanced muscle science hormone regulation kit! works great!, i'm in afghanistan and i started working out my weight was like 112, i'm now 137 and still gaining~

WOW you are a skinny man haha.... thanks for your service tho, i just use some plain jane whey protein.. doesnt taste the greatest but gets the job done..

  7. I

I think that is the oil level sensor, the oil pressure sensor is at the top rear of the block. Mostlikely you will need to remove the intake manifold. and it requires a special tool or a deep socket but can't remember the size ~7/8

TO O.P. Have you checked to make sure you have proper oil pressure with a mechanical gauge.

I'll be checking that first thing tomorrow.

  8. Whenever i start the truck my oil pressure gauge goes all the way up immediately. The gauge goes back to zero when i turn the truck off so its not the gauge. I'm guessing the sending unit is broken. Next question is where is it located on the block?
