Holy crap, I swear Ive seen that truck in my town, young driver also and exact color SRT-10 Ram with NH plates. And he was driving it in snow which most srt-10 owners never do......some young drivers need accidents to make them slow down and not think their invincible to harm. Why I never drive my SS hard unless it would be at the track. Just hope he doesnt have permanent injury.
How did u see him driving it in snow? We just finally got snow yesterday!

2004 & 2005 Silverado SS Part Outs
DO NOT QUOTE MY ENTIRE POST WHEN REPLYING!
I constantly add/remove/update parts and it confuses other posters and makes the thread much longer than needed.
All prices are plus shipping unless otherwise noted, PM me for pictures, shipping quotes, or other questions. When asking for shipping quote, include zip code. If it is request for freight, include zip code, residential or business delivery, and if a fork lift is available.
All parts were removed from a 2004 Silverado SS with 36,889 miles or a 2005 Silverado SS with 96,966 miles. Both trucks are Onyx Black. The 36,889 mile truck was my personal truck that I bought with 5,300 miles. Everything is in excellent condition. It has a 414ci 496hp motor in it. Pics/info will be coming on that shortly. The 96,966 mile truck was wrecked on the front passenger corner. I have some Arrival Blue parts as listed below as well.
If you do not see a part listed, please ask as I likely have it since I’m parting both entire trucks out.
I do not take ‘dibs.’ The first person who sends payment will get the part.
I’m just starting to take this truck apart. Right now, general pictures are up, but in the next couple of days, I will have pictures of every individual part off the truck. I should be able to ship just about any part within 24 hours of payment. Some of the major parts may need a few days. I will discuss timeframes with the buyer.
Pictures can be found here for the 36,889 mile truck: http://www.brooksidestorage.net/1046/
Pictures can be found here for the 96,966 mile truck: http://www.brooksidestorage.net/1051/
The mileage of the parts will be listed in front of the item to identify which truck it is from. I’m also listing some major parts I have from previous part outs. Mileage will be listed in front of them as well. All parts removed from 03-05 SS trucks. If no mileage is listed, I have several good parts available.
Performance Parts – More info coming, all pricing/pics pending, will update after Thanksgiving, DO NOT PM FOR PRICING YET, IT WILL BE IGNORED UNTIL THIS IS UPDATED

If you decide to split it up, I'd be interested in the front bumper cover, the passenger side dorr front and rear skins, and the drivers side front door skin
I would be interested on your drivers door cladding let me know if you would part it out!

Can someone explain this Hydro Boost to me and where do I get it?

I have stock manafolds, with magnaflow hi flow cats and the magnaflow 14in X pipe muffler going dual straight out the back and I love it it, Sounds deep, no drone, not raspy and no popping when u let off the throttle, I had a flow master on before that and it sounded like shit, droned bad, I dont have a sound clip, It does set off the occasional car alarm but not like all the time
-
So just so I am clear, the ducts you are selling will not fit 2003 to 2005?
-
why would you have to rewire the whole truck?
The swap done by speartech involved a gen IV motor not a Gen III. The six speed trans communicate over the CAN bus system where as the Gen III used the class 2 and I forgot the other one. Unless you completely rewired the truck to use all of the Gen IV electronics, this is not possible yet.
-
Great info man,I do appreciate it, yea definately let me know anything you can find out thanks. I would think that my gas mileage would be way better with the 6 speed, and I was told it would be a way better use of the power band? I would imagine highway would be a huge improvement too
any thought?
I am researching this possible swap also. It has been done on a TBSS and a few Silverados. I dont know for sure about any AWD swaps though. The 6L series trans are controlled by a tcm as ours are controlled by the pcm. There is a conversion box made for it but I dont know the specifics on it yet. I think its made by Speartech or someone like that. When i get some more info gathered up ill share it.

Ok now that I have you undivided attention, My SS has 245,xxx on it and the tranny is getting tired, was thinking How hard would it be to go from the 4 speed auto to a 6? If I but the 6l80 will it bolt up? what other changes would need to be made?

Luckily MA has a loyal Sss owner that's also a fema disaster housing inspector, I'll be leaving Joplin MO tommorow and headed back to my home New England

I wish it wasnt so hard to post pics on here, Id have a bunch to post if I could only load larger files.
So I just sold my Foose 22' wheels with Kuhmo tires for $950. yesterday on CL, put my new stock silver SS wheels back on, I got lucky, last summer after I bought my Foose 22's some kid wanted to trade me a 2002 Honda TRX 400 for my silver SS stock wheels which had some curb rash and the tired were at 60 to 70%, soon after I found a BRAND NEw set of of OEM Silver SS wheels on CL, Snaged those for $400. a couple days later I got some brand new Pirellis for em off CL aslo for $400. so yea Im back on my stockers but at least there in perfect condition
My odometer just turn 242k yea that is not a typo, still runs the balls but every once in a while I get the REDUCED ENGINE POWER and I have to shut the truck down and restart it a couple of times to get back to normal, happens almost every time I use cruise control which is really annoying, I have a clean throttle body and I replaced my MAF with a new OEM one about a year ago so idk.
I put on some high flow magnaflow cats and a wide open X pipe style Magna flow muffler going dual straight out the back with some black tinted chrome tips that look sweeter then most anything Ive seen, just happen to spot em at Lous custom exauhst when I went to have it installed, I saw em and knew that those tips were made to be on my truck, It sounds pretty sweet, deep and loud but not raspy and doesnt have the popping noises when letting off the throttle.
I also dumped some serious $ into the stereo, I got he Kenwood DNX9960, and got a sweet packeage deal on ebay 2 JL audio limited edition amps(chrome) there like the 07 model but who cares they were new in the box , also came with matching JL audio 4 gauge power wire, JL rca wires, 4 JL door speaker6.5inch, only bad part is I cant use the 2 rears cause they wont fit but the bose are handling the punishment from the amp surprisingly well, also came with JL fuse link and battery terminals. Then I bought the JL box with JL W3 12' that gose under the rear seat, took a week to blow that sub so I ugraded the sub to a W3v3 and thats holding up nicely. I also have a JL box that goes under the center console that holds the 10: JL W3 but I havent intalled it cause ive heard it wont sound right paired up with the 12" any words of wisdom on that? its not a easy install so I dont wanna waste the time if its gonna sound awful.
I also bit the bullet and spent the $ to get the Viper 5902 remote starter/alarm, It works great, but drains my battery if I dont start my truck for more then 48 hours, never did that before the viper was installed, best buy did the install and I havent talked to em about it yet so Idk, thought mabey it was my battery so I went and got a new Optima and no change, my alternator is jyst over a year old so it isnt that either
-
Mine has done the same thing, actually did it just last night, It has happened very randomly but It usually happens when I use my cruise control, but it happened last night after a short trip with the cruise control off. My truck is stock except for the exauhst, Ive already replaced my MAF about a year ago with a oem one and my throttle body is clean, any insight on this would be really helpful
-
I was wondering if anyone has or knows where to buy rhw 22" Chrome or Painted SSS Replica wheels, perferably with a tire package, and how much the usually go for
-
Im looking for a drivers side brake duct if anyone has one they can sell please pm me
