  1. Ok, I've made the decision to get the Lingenfelter MAF, but not sure which one to get. This is one subject that I know little about but apparently there are two versions, that are described as 12:00 and 3:00. Im assuming that is the angle of the plug for the sensor, but not sure which one to get. Anyone that can help would be greatly appreciated. Also, they have two wire adapters available, but from what I could see when i took the harness off of my current stock MAF, it looks like I wouldn't need one... Oh, also it says that the Lingenfelter MAF would not work with the stock tune, which I do not have. But do I need to reprogram for it to work still?
  2. From what I have heard, it is supposed to be good for blown engines because it allows more air flow over the stock MAF. If the Lingenfelter on is supposed to be so good, where can I find one at?
  3. I honestly don't know about the MAF tables. I would assume that if they needed to be changed that they guy that did my tune at W2W would have done that. Did some asking around in my area and found out there is a good one through Grenetelli (not sure if spelled right).
  4. No, I am running the stock intake.
  5. My MAF started causing engine codes to go off lately and I am going to replace it. Right now I'm running the stock sensor that came on the truck, but I was wondering if I should get the same sensor again or if there is something better out there that I should get. Keep in mind my engine is built to a 403 with a D1 SC ProCharger turning 13lbs.
  6. Right now it's worth it. My fiance has a 2wd '06 and she cannot get around in the snow worth crap. But my '03 gets along awesome.
  7. How hard and expensive would it be to convert a '06 SS 2wd to making it All wheel drive?
  8. did you get the walbro gss 340 intank fule pump? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> nm

    Dyno Tune

Anyone else have any idea if that could have caused any problems during the tune?
  10. 140 is what it showed you can see it right before the camera pulls away from the speedo. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yes, but I was already slowing down by the time he panned to the speedo
  11. You would never know the difference from 160 to 80. It handles awesome. I've driven the car a couple of times lately since it has been getting cooler out, and I never leave the traction control on. I have fun going around town cause you can be going about 40 in second and squeeze the throttle and blow the tires up, lol.
  12. LOL, my buddy did a terrible job of video taping. You should have seen the raw footage, what I pieced together here is a lot better than what all was there. He was all over the place.
  13. This is a fun clip to watch. I miss 3rd gear on the second run though DOH! 06_Z06_vs_03_Cobra.wmv

    Dyno Tune

Wow, so it has been a really long time since I have posted on here. Had to have been since about the Woodward cruise! So I think I'll just recap a bit so that everyone is sorta up to date. So I had a 403 build with a ProCharger on it pushing 13 psi. Tried to get my truck dyno tuned at W2W but the fuel pressure kept dropping off. Took the truck 4 hours back home, put in an Aeromotive fuel pump, fast fuel rails, 60 psi Motron injectors, etc. Drove 4 hours back up for Woodward where I met up with Detjoe and some others and did a short street run against a red SSS with Radix. That monday I go to W2W to finish my dyno tune and get ready to tear up the streets. The tune was going well since the fuel pressure was A OK . But once we tried to add some timing into it, the sensors kept picking up a noise and backing off the timing. Not quite sure why, but I was hoping it wasn't the gas since I filled it up right before I arrived there and I had a full tank of it. Then we noticed that the temp of the air going into the motor was kinda high (btw, I had just put on a larger intercooler and added a scoop to ram the air into it) so we thought that finishing the tune on the street might lower the air temps and could allow us to add a little more timing. We get going down the road and we find out that the air temps going in were actually higher ! We also noticed that there was an exhaust leak, but I didn't think much of it since I have had leaks at the collecter before and didn't think it was any big deal. After the tune and after driving all the way home, I look into the leak and it ended up being a loose header on the passenger side, which is the side that the oxygen senser was on for setting up the tune!!! Could the loose header have thrown things off?? Could that have been the noise that the sensers kept picking up and removing timing for? Why were my air temps higher on the street than on the dyno?? With this all being said and done, the final number was 513 hp to the wheels. I'm just wondering if there is any more to get out of it now that I discovered the problems I had while on the dyno, but I just can't understand the air temp thing. Suggestions?
  15. nice turn out, about 5 TBSS were parked when I got there, I was the only SSS. So I hit the streets and saw Bob and Oscar and re grouped at murrays. then Gabbett1 pullled up w/403 and a procharger!! it ended up being 5 SSS. good showing a few drove by but didnot stop, woman problems The was a reg cab Gibbs there too Had a good time- who won Radix or Stroke-procharger ??? I am going to try to get out late tonight. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We did a rolling start... don't really remember who started off first, but I was gaining on him slightly. I still have to finish my tune on Monday at W2W. Probaly running around 11:1 WOT and don't have any timing in it yet. But still runs really strong as is. I was impressed, I thought his truck ran really good.
  16. I am glad to say that I did finally make it to my first meet... barely, lol. I was a little late but it was still worth it. Met a few of the guys. Drove down to Woodward to cruise on Friday and before I got there I hit the gas from a stoplight and broke my tensioner! Not sure how that happened. But luckly it was early enough in the day that we were able to track one down at a Pontiac dealership of all places. I was also lucky cause it didn't tear up the belt. Replacing the belt on that thing with the ProCharger bracket and all can be a pain. It's looking pretty wet out there today so far, but it is still early. I should be on Woodward but not sure how much driving I'll be doing. My buddies want to walk around and see the stuff you don't get to see when you are cruising. How were the drag races last night?
  17. lol, i wasn't suggesting they were, but someone mentioned it before, so I thought I'd ask about it. I was supposed to get my tune done on Monday, but not sure that will work out now...
  18. So what is the verdict on where and when to meet? Also, what is the status of going to W2W on Friday to see the dyno run?
  19. Drove it some more since I lost fuel pressure and It seems to be driving fine now. I did get underneath the truck and tried to tighten some of the connections, but they seemed to be pretty tight already. The only place I didn't get to is the connection on top of the tank. But like I said, everything seems to be running fine, and the pump even seems to be running a bit more quiet now. I guess the real test will be the trip to Detroit for Woodward and the dyno tune that Monday after
  20. That's exactly what I thought.
  21. Ahh, ok... I thought I was just not seeing something. I spent a bunch of time messing with custom Avitars and then all of a sudden I couldn't figure out how to load one, lol.
  22. How do you add a custom Avitar??!! I could only select the one that is the standard for this site.
  23. I'm coming to the Woodward cruise and normally I would have brought my Z06 or my '75 pictured below. However, I am getting my dyno tune finished at W2W the monday after the cruise so I will be bringing my truck I can try to sneak in a day early and meet you guys on Thursday.
