  1. As far as fuel supply issues, it seems to have completely fixed it. However it seems that I may have a bug or two to work out of that system. I drove it for over two hours straight and the pump kept making more and more noise before the pressure finally dropped to zero. I shut it off and then tried starting it again and it started fine. Pressure was up and everything. A friend of mine told me it was probably an air leak from the lines before the pump. Does this sound accurate?
  2. That should pack the mail - you've got a D1-SC compressor, right? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes it is a D1-SC
  3. Thanks, I just can't wait until I get my tune done now. I drove it for the first time on a 100 degree day and it was still very quick off the line. Just can't wait to see what she will do in the quarter!
  4. I was having fuel delivery problems. Was losing fuel pressure in the upper RPM's which didn't allow me to finish my dyno tune. I am using 60lb Mototron injectors. I think that's how you spell them...
  5. Ok, well its been a while since I have talked about my fuel system problems and I hope that I finally have everything solved. I bought an Aromotive fuel system that has Fast fuel rails. I used all -8 lines to supply the rails until it comes to a Y and then ran -6 line from there to each fuel rail. Then ran one -8 line from the end of one rail to the other, and over to the regulator where I ran a -6 line as a return to the tank. Here are some pics of the install: If you notice in this picture, I had to bolt down the fuel rails from the top side and make a piece to roll over and hold down the rail. The rails didn't even come close to mounting properly with the mounts they sent for it. I then decided that my intercooler wasn't big enough and upgraded it to what seemed to dwarf my old one. I then had a scoop built for it so that air would be forced up it more effectively than the rubber damn design that they give you. Here are pics of the new intercooler: Look at how wide this thing is! I modified the stock tank pump by gutting it and drilling a hole through the top of it to run the pickup into the tank and attached it with some JB weld. I thought I took pics of that part of the install, but when I started doing this post I realized I had none. Sorry bout that...
  6. I have an 03 SS as well and my GF just bought an 06 and personally I don't like the hood on hers. The hood on my 03 looks way better. When was it that they first took away the AWD was it in 06 or was it 05?
  7. Man, seems like I am missing all the events. My truck is still waiting parts for the fuel system. They have been on backorder this whole time, and once they are in, I still need to get up to W2W to finish my tune. I'll make it to one of these sometime damnit! Have a good time and keep the rubber side down
  8. Not me. A guy off of PT.net made it. Read item #3. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How much benefit should this have over the stock one, and what would it do for a FI application?
  9. Similar to what I have. Don't always hear it though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You can hear this one every time, and it is quite loud. Half thought about notching out the plastic piece that the wheel is rubbing against
  10. I totally missed this one. I didn't see the date for it until today!! I will definately be looking for the next event in our area.
  11. Not sure what your laws are out there but here in Indiana we have to get emission tested 5 years after it is new, unless you buy truck plates for it If you go with the truck plates then you are exempt from emissions testing.
  12. I installed the Volant intake with the scoop and now everytime the truck turns left, the tire rubs on the plastic piece in the wheel well cause the scoop hose is just barely touching it. What should I do?
  13. Sweet, I just bought a set of AFR 227H heads for my vette you see in the pics below. They are a really nice setup. Not done with the install yet, but I am anxious to see what kind of gains I get out of it.
  14. I put on the ATI ProCharger and dropped 1.8 seconds off my quarter mile times. From our calculations, the gains they claimed to get out of it seem pretty accurate but don't know for sure. If you can, I would get the largest air to air intercooler that they offer for that setup. It will be worth it. I am also in the process of making a scoop for my intercooler to force more air through it and get some better cooling. Guys at W2W said they were seeing up to 40 degree drops in temps with the larger intercooler and a scoop.
  15. Actually, the more I think about it, I don't think the FMU wouldn't have made a difference. All it does is cut off the flow of fuel back to the tank, building pressure in the fuel lines, but when we were on the dyno, he tapped into my lines where the return was to regulate the pressure.
  16. We aren't using the fuel pressure regulator because the initial program was tuning for a fixed fuel pressure (65lbs). I was starting to wonder if that would have fixed my problem, or would it have just made me lose fuel pressure sooner than I did? But yes, it would be boost referenced.
  17. From what I was told by this guy that is supposed to be a flow specialist, he said that my Flex fuel pump was just as good if not better than two Walbro's. What about my fuel lines? What about my fuel rails? Any of that need to be changed?
  18. Doesn't anyone have any suggestions??
  19. Well, since I didn't get the full tune yet, I'm not exactly sure. I think it was going to be around $600 or something.
  20. I have 60 lb Mototron injectors. All I know is that the pump in the tank is a Flex fuel pump, and according to a specialist in flow, said it was more than enough to be sufficient. I don't know what the size of the inline one is, but I can try to find out.
  21. Ah, sorry guys, I assumed that you had been reading my other posts on here. My fault. It is a 403 with a D1SC ProCharger turning 13psi. I am running a Flex fuel pump in the tank and an in line pump that came from ProCharger. However, I don't remember if I recieved the in line pump when I first put the P1SC on, or when I built the 403 and the D1SC. They did keep track of AFR and it didn't go lean until the very top. But it did get to 13.2 AFR. I think they did keep the logs, but I did not get any of them.
  22. Well, just got back from making the 4 hour treck to Wheel 2 Wheel to have my truck dyno tuned to only find out that I am still having fuel supply problems. It held pressure at 65psi till about 5000 rpm and then dropped 15psi by about 5500. I don't think it is the pump in the tank. Could it possibly be that my inline pump isn't keeping up? Would it be bad to take the inline pump out and run just the one pump? Also, is it stupid to think that it could be from a clogged filter? My buddy was telling me that people with Lightnings were blowing engines cause of that when they were running 13psi and so he thought it might be something worth looking in to. Also, I am running the stock fuel lines from the tank all the way up. What, if anything, should I change there? Here is a short clip of my Dyno pulls. It was the first pull and the truck downshifted when he stepped on it. You can hear me chuckling in the background, I thought it was quite funny. Dyno Once I get my fuel situation figured out, I'm going to go back to W2W and finish my Dyno runs!
