New Wheels & Tires. Suggestions & Comments Needed
jddmj replied to SSWhitechapel's topic in Rims and Rubber
Those wheels look alot like the Dub Baller rim. I am a fan, but its hard to beat the look of a 22" rep if you like the wheels that you already have. Just my 2¢. -
I personally would just start looking both places. I am thinking about motor options myself for my build. Just waiting to see what comes along at a good price.

No problem man. You will find a ton of useful info on this site.

Good start! I love a console in these single cabs. But if you plan on doing a full clone, the cladding will not line up that street scene bumper cover. The factory SS bumper actually sets lower.
-
Photobucket is your friend.
-
They are the same. I have picked up a couple of sets of ebay heads with no problems. Just make sure you seal them up good before installing.

Nice find, but the font is not spot on like shopman1. But beggers cant be choosers.

pass rear door cladding and driver cab corner cladding
jddmj replied to Carl Eagle's topic in For Sale/ Wanted
Bump for a good seller -
Good luck with the sale.

Extend your wiring harness long enough to go into the console. Install a single din into the console, then build a dash kit, and install a nexus 10 in the dash. Little programming and your done. I got pics of mine somewhere, but I didnt do a write up.
-
Just go with a custom nexus 10 in the dash, and be done. No space left over, you have navigation, and you still have the headunit in the console.

LMC Truck would have them.

......ouch. Cheapest way is to put lowering keys with your on the front, with shackles and hangers out back. This will get you about a 2/4 drop. Its all in how low you want to go.

The truck had already had aftermarket lights installed, and I was trying to reuse the bracket. All is well now, but I found a bunch of other things I got to clean up now. Yeppie! LOL!

New 22 and 24 TBSS finish. Black line face for sss bolt pattern
jddmj replied to NORCAL SS's topic in Rims and Rubber
Reminds me of the finish of some of the Dub Ballers I have seen. Beautiful. -
Small update..... Starting installing all the lights, and the tail lights came out great. Which is what started the desire to get the project rolling stronger than ever. Went to put the new eagle eye headlights in, and we have a problem. The pins will not come out. Nomatter what I do, they are not coming out. So it looks like we will be cutting the pins out, and putting in fresh. On top of that, it looks like the sun has got the grill seeing better days. A new black sport grill is on the way, along with a lower valance. I also had a friend give me a fresh dash that I am supposed to pick up this week, and will be doing doing dying to make it the correct color. I have the cab so full of stuff at the moment, I couldn't drive it if I wanted to. Anybody want to put in donations so I can get myself a garage built?

Ah, that thing is better than factory LOL

Don't waste your hard earned money on shorty headers. Get the long tubes, and deal with the Cats.
-
Fake.

Thanks for point that out Richard. For some reason I thought Raceline made Billet only.
-
I don't believe they would fit due to the shape of those mini step sides. Modified, yes. I would hit up a fiberglass shop that makes SS cladding, and get new cladding made. That way, if you don't like it, you can always go back to you stock bed and cladding.
-
Harley's truck about made me switch, I must admit. Real Racelines are crazy expensive. They would look super clean on a SS too. I debated about picking up the Eagle Alloy when I put the SS wheels on. I just don't like chrome much anymore.
