I would think your best bet is to locate a complete front dif assembly and swap it out. Maybe more damage got done that you can't see.
A few years back I got one from a boneyard for like $450.00. Not really too much of a PITA to swap out. It IS a little heavy.

I remember reading somewhere that so called hi-flow cats are a scam and don't really exist. All's they do is a worse job at what cats are designed to do, maybe less holes of scrubbing media psi, so yeah they'll flow more, but won't do as good a job?
So what ARE the stock cats good up to in regards to Hp level. Probably depends on scfm, and temp of exhaust factors in. I think 500 HP rings a bell. I'm close to going back to stock cats, more because I'm sick of the exhaust note... cool at first... now getting old.

I think I'll be painting them a metallic black and clear coat the sh*t out of them. I want them to stand out I guess. If
they turn out good enuf, I think I'll go crazy under the hood with it.
Well first thing's first, I need to cut them up to fit. So no one has a top/center cover laying around?
So I take it at a minimum I'll need to scuff and adhesion promote them, right?
Why couldn't I be related to Chip Foose or something?

Anyone use the Dupli color anodized paints on their engine covers?
I imagine scuffing and an adhesion promoter would be needed, but that's ok. I don't plan on smoothing them out tho.
Is there a black version of it?

He hooked me up with some 'supercharged' stickers and the font matched close enuf to look stock. Got a few sets of 'SS' ones too and ditto. -

I don't know what they're governed at but I'm sure they are. The speed limiting usually relates to what the stock tires are speed rated for.
