    will the grill work with the 2001, because if you look around the head lights on the front fender its more rounded. i thought if you wanted to build the clone had to be a 2003 at the earliest. i have been wanting to do the same thing. just hard to find a 2003 short bed reg cab. with a v8 and not 4x4

    i am trying to figure out if i can pull the stock bumper off a reg silverado and leave the stock bumper bar there and use it to mount the ss front bumper cover.. i looked up on gmparts.com and they only have one bumper bar which makes me think that they share the same bar.

     

    anyone done this before?

    i am wanting over a years worth of working it to build me up a clone but reg cab short bed, i am trying to see if i want to put a Lq9 or a Lq4, if i go witht he Lq4 i was going to do a piston swap and put flat tops in.

     

    just trying to see what would be the best option.

     

    any help would be awesome.

    just wandering does it bother anyone else when you see a SS going do the road with a lader rack on it and spiled pain on the bed. or one with a camper shell with straches all over the truck with a constuction sticker on the side? bothers the crap out of me!banghead.gif

    Well I got my Doug Thorley LTs installed today and I must say Im pretty happy with their fitment and quality overall. Right now my setup after the headers are no cats with stock piping all they way back to a Magnaflow muffler with the dual tip coming out behind the cab. It sounds pretty aggresive as it is right now. I hope to finish the exahsut this week. Im gonna run 2.5in all the way back. Im gonna have the piping off the headers run into a 2.5 x-pipe into dual 2.5 magnaflow round mufflers that I got off another member on here. After that Im not sure if i wanna dump it or still take it out where it is. I also think the performance gain is pretty decent from them as well. Soon as I get the exhaust finished its off to install my TBSS intake and TB, 44lb injectors and my LS1 efans then get it tuned for all the mods. The truck should be running pretty good after all of that. I will try to get a few pics tomorrow and a vid of it on the road and post it up.

     

    just a question why not 3"?
