Grats man. good luck

Sitting on the side of the highway waiting to catch speeding drivers, a state police officer sees a blue Silverado SS puttering along at a measly 22 MPH. He thinks to himself, "This driver is just as dangerous as a speeder!" So he turns on his lights and pulls the driver over.
Approaching the truck, he notices that there are five old ladies — two in the front seat and three in the back — eyes wide and pale as ghosts.
The driver, obviously confused, says to him, "Officer, I don't understand. I was doing exactly the speed limit! What seems to be the problem?"
"Ma'am," the officer replies, "You weren't speeding, but you should know that driving slower than the speed limit can also be a danger to other drivers."
"Slower than the speed limit?" she asks. "No sir, I was doing the speed limit — exactly 22 miles per hour!" the old woman says a bit proudly. The officer, trying to contain a chuckle, explains to her that "22" is the route number and not the speed limit. A bit embarrassed, the woman grins and thanks the officer for pointing out her error.
"But before I let you go, Ma'am, I have to ask: is everyone in this car ok? These women seem awfully shaken and they haven't made a single peep this whole time."
"Oh, they'll be OK in a minute, officer. We just got off Route 119."
That is awesome

will be putting my headers on real soon. i have heard 2 different ways of getting the bolts out. 1: dont start the engine keep it 100% cold. 2: drive it around the block to warm the block upa bit.

next Saturday will be leaving at 2 am for the 800 miles trip to Florida for a week. cant wait relaxing on the i hope not oil filled beaches drinking a few cold ones. better not rain the SS is shining.
-
yea i plan on keeping the cats.. need to pass emissions....
-
i was under the truck this morning and noticed that the o2 is behind the cats. but on the headers they would be before the cats. would that throw a code?
-
ok. like get new ones or use the old?
-
sweet thanks alot. will be ordering them this week and then its wheatley time
-
The headers bolt up easy. If you are keepin the OEM dual exhaust then you will need an exhaust shop to make you a custom collector flanges to make it work on the SSS exhaust. They only have a Y pipe for the 4.8/5.3 trucks. Some people here have done the Y pipe and used exhasut cat backs from 4.8/5.3.
i would put the headers on and cut the cats out. and i have flowmaster super 44's on it i would cut off also. so they would just be running the tube and welding up the cats and muffs.
do i longer o2 cables?

Many members here run these headers and I being one of them. I have no complaints with them and they get the job done!
thanks! one more thing where they true bolt on or did you have any probs?

i am wanting to do a flat black wrap on my ss me and a friend will be doing it. (we did his Mercedes) and to make it look a lot better would mean to pull the cladding. i have not pulled it off before and was trying to find out how the ones on the doors come off? the ones around the fender look like they have screws. any help would be awesome.

My Mother got the great present of getting cut off the day before mothers day. She had her Eddie Bauer Explorer for 8 years, always babied it, never hit before this. Long story short, young kid was following his gps and not the road itself, almost missed the turn and without paying attention took a sharp left across the road in front of my mother, and didn't make it . Mom, younger brother and dog all in the explorer got the brunt of it. Only the rear corner of the other car got it(honda pilot). Mom and brother got an ambulance ride and got checked. Mainly whiplash, brother has a soft cast on his right arm untill we get some further investigating done (hit it on the dash hard).
They totaled it, exceeded over 75% of vehicle value.
Now to the question, whats a good mom vehicle? Looking at maybe new, more than likely certified used. GM has the upper hand in mind due to the Onstar option since her phone went flying to the back seat in the accident. I was think maybe Tahoe, trailblazer, equinox or traverse. She also likes the newer grand cherokee's too.
Let me know what you guys think,
Neil
i see moms or women all the time in TBSS all the time at least 2 times a a day out here in Missouri
