yea i try to be cool when i get pulled over just cause they can screw me if they really want to u know......but i also live in an area where ther is not a whole lot of crime and cops r bored and are on a power trip...yea cutouts r so fun i was cruisin with angrygreg yesterday and we scared the sh!t out of like a hundred people, do urs leak at all? @rob ill let u know how the muffler sounds bro im thinkin im gonna post a before and after it doesnt sound bad right now its just soooo LOUD

yea man i am setting all my neighbors alarms off at 6 am when i leave for work lol thats a trip the cop didnt sweat u about the cut outs, that is my plan to get some cutouts so if i want i can be loud....if it wasnt my dd i wouldnt worry about it so much. i just ordered that muffler so we will see hopefully it wont get rid of the cam lope completely

my truck is super loud and im a lil worried if i pull up next to a cop hes gonna light me up and have a look see sorry to post yet another exhaust question but im wondering if anyone has tried this muffler http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MPE-12568/?rtype=10 or any suggestions on what i could do, or what u have done to tame it thx and again sry for the exhaust question lol

sry to thread jack but has anyone had experience or a sound clip of the 22 inch magnaflow dual in\out ........my truck is so loud with the new cam and im scared to drive it i dont wanna pull up next to a cop and just lump and chop right next to him ive already had 2 people ask me "how do u pass inspection" so a cop will know for sure lol .....any help or suggestions? also ive already blown out some hiflow cats so that's not really an option anymore

this is the exact thing that happened to me the reason it ran when he first started it up is cause it was cold and running closed loop (or open i get those 2 mixed up) once it warmed up and ran off the sensors it doesnt know what to do..... i bet u my next 5 paychecks that if u put it in neutral and keep ur foot on the throttle at 5% it wil run and u wont hear a tick maybe just the springs....do what chp special said get it tuned by a tuner and maybe let ur buddy study that tune chp special did my cam and tuned it and everything u r saying is goin on is what i had to the T. chp tuned it and i havent had a problem no knock slap shimmy or anything but the cam is lumpy i love it

i know a couple guys that have big ol' trucks for the toy hauler and they run a lil juice for a kick, he couldda been on a lil 50 shot or somethin..... just sayin

not sure what u mean but the pcm is callibrated to the stock cam so a new cam (bigger) is gonna need more air and fuel.....im not a tuner so im probally way off.... but i think it has something to do with idle air demand?...once again im not a tuner but i do know that switching to a bigger cam or any aftermarket cam is gonna need to be tuned this one might be a lil to advanced for ur buddy lol not tryin to be rude but tuning takes alot of learning

just be careful who u let tune ur truck dude thats all im gonna say

the 7.4 should be fine and i would get it tuned if its only doin it at idle when its loping u can drive it 2 footed ad just dont let the rpms drop....if u need to drive that is, to the tuner or whatever......just remember that if u snap off the throttle its gonna stall...this is the same experience i had a week ago

whats the specs on the cam... did it only do it at idle? my tuner told me that i was just hearing the blower slap, dont know if this was the case with u... and it only did it at idle and also after we got everything back together and started it up it idled on its own till it warmed up then i had to start it in nuetral at 5% throttle just to keep it from stalling sounds to me like this is just a tuning issue...

is the cel on it could be misfiring

did u go from a stock cam?......the tune is the reason for the knock im willin to bet those springs r gonna chirp till there worn in as for it not turning over again thats beyond me
