  1. starting a build and its an LQ4 block probablly going to go with 799/243 heads. soooo if i wanted to put a sipercharger on it how could i do it? buy a kit for an 03 siverado ss(what i have) or piece it together?
  2. put into consideration its a cobra jet. legit drag cars that compete at the NHRA level arn't built on hopes and dreams. buuuuuut i don't think i'll be putting it in my shopping cart
  3. not saying somebody won't im just saying i wouldn't pay as much for it with a salvage title on it as i would if it was a clean title. i think some people would agree
  4. so the SS is gettin on up there in her days and when i sold my mustang and bought my SS i had cash left over. like i smart 20 y/o i gave $1500 to my parents to keep for my engine fund and well i finally convinced them to let me break into to buy a 6.0 block so i could build an engine and it be ready to drop in if anything happened to mine or next summer whichever came first. i know alot of guys here have rebuilt these engines and any advice would be nice. i want to set it up for a supercharger application so when i do put on my s/c its ready to go
  5. at the end of the day it still has a salvage title glws maybe somebody will eventually pay
  6. most lowered trucks lean, its just in their nature. you will have to take your bumpstops out if you do drop in down to 4" in the back or you will be riding on bumpstops and thats a horrible ride. what i did on my 01 full size was take a hack saw to the stock bump stops and shave them down ended up taking about half of them off that way you never have metal to metal contact, but nothing is wrong with your suspension IMO
  7. thats been in there for a couple years now hasn't it?
  8. http://www.kbb.com/chevrolet/silverado-1500-extended-cab/2003-chevrolet-silverado-1500-extended-cab/ss-pickup-4d-6-1-2-ft/?vehicleid=347827&intent=trade-in-sell&mileage=220000&category=pickup&options=4071919%7ctrue%7c4072020%7ctrue%7c4072010%7ctrue&pricetype=private-party&anchor=true i go off kelly blue book. my truck had 168,xxx miles when i bought it and i payed 9500 cash, may seem like alot but conssider the fact these trucks hold their value so well. mine still books out at 10,400 on private party. i try to pay somewhere between trade in and private party so when i sell it later i don't lose my ass. id say somewhere between $6500 and $7500 at most would be a decent deal and not piss him off. but also consider unless its your daily driver that you arn't going to do anything to and just drive, you will end up rebuilding the engine, painting it, ect.. but i'd go for it at 7ish cuz im not scared of high miles
  9. yea i want to be different, i mean im going to paint it soon because it has scratches and needs paint i was thinking the synergy green with flat black racing stripes, bow tie, brake ducts and soing something to the wheels no sure what but something different
  10. getting ready for paint in the future. should i go arrival blue or be different with synergy green??

  14. so I'm 21 and in college my major is horticulture but I still don't know what i want to do with the rest of my life. it sucks. i just want to get out of college and on with my life. i have about a year and a half to finish up my degree but i don't know if i want to cut grass for the rest of my life. i know a lot of places are just excited to see you have a degree because it means that you are trainable. i thought about becaomg a destrict sales rep for either coca cola or budwieser because i do enjoy sales but im still undecided. finding a job is terribly difficult here in a small college town so its hard to get started with anything until i move back home for good. just looking for any inputs since there is a lot of diversity on the site
  15. full time student at Auburn University when i go home to gulf shores in the summers i work as a part-time" merchandiser for coca-cola by part time i mean after 3 days im on overtime and the full time guy works less but its okay i need all the money i can get to live off of during school
