I went with the Blackbear tune because it was recommended to me by another SS owner before i became active on this forum. I did it in person so it was super easy, Justin just sat in the passenger seat with his computer and after asking me questions about like rim and tire size he would change the tune and we would go for a drive. The longer we drove around for the more he changed. Its great having him right there to see exactly whats going on. We must have stopped like 5 times so he could make the shifts right. I cant imagine Wheatly tune being everything a Blackbear tune is because nobody but you is there to know what feels right and what doesnt. Anyways I love it and would recommend it to everyone! I bought a 5000k kit from XtremeHIDS. Came with 2 ballasts and 2 bulbs

So wait a minute........ I can open the hood of my SSS just by pulling on that cable that runs overtop of my drivers side headlight and toward the grill? Thats not good! Although I wish I had known that when my battery died... damn power locks make the thing almost impossible to get in to!

Hey I figure this is relevant enough so i have a question: I made the mistake of cheaping out when I bought my HIDs and I dont like them. I want brighter ones but can I change just the bulbs or just the ballasts and notice a difference? What should i look for in purchasing new bulbs or ballasts?

The first time I had it, I didnt even know it was new and improved until i read the box. Still tastes like regular Dominoes to me. Recommend only to drunk people haha

I am planning to go to the Cleveland auto show and figured it might be cool to meet up with some more SS. Anybody interested? Dates of the show are Feb 27- March 7. We could pick a day and time to meet then walk through the show or whatever else. I'd just like to meet some more SS owners in the area. I actually live in Erie PA so if someone wants to suggest another idea for the area I would love to attend.

I recently purchased AVS brand headlight covers and am considering buying the similiar tail light covers. Does anybody have these? My headlights are HIDs and downright suck through the covers and im scared that if i get the taillight covers you cant see the brake lights come on. Does anybody know anything about this? And if you have them, what headlights do you have that you consider tolerable? They look soo sick that i dont want to take them off! I recently built a different sub box for under the back seat of my SS. So the old one is for sale. It fits 2 12" subwoofers. Fits perfectly under the back seat of any Silverado SS. Looking for around 80+shipping OBO. I have no idea what shipping will cost. Located in Erie Pennsylvania. First off, Black Bear Performance is definitely the tune you want. I know about 5 other guys with an SS and the only one that doesnt have a blackbear tune regrets it. Secondly, exhaust. I have Gibson Shorty headers and a full Magnaflow catback. Doesnt get any better than that.

They sell the sets made by Auto Vent Shade at Advance Auto Parts...... something like 50 bucks for all 4 UPDATE: I just put these on my black truck and it looks absolutely SICK! headlights suck now though haha

Hey I just purchased HIDs and tired to install them in my 04 Silverado SS today....... I got high and low and had no room to mount the ballasts on the drivers side. Where did yall mount yours? pictures would be great.

I have seen quite a few SS Silverados around and I have always been interested in the way they sound. To be honest, the best sounding one I have heard is the one I drive. I have gibson shorty headers and a full Magnaflow catback that exits straight out the back. It sounds amazing I assure you. I already have steel braided brake lines that the previous owner of my SS put on, but i actually just ruptured one! Anybody know anything about replacing just the right front brake line? I can only find complete kits. Autozone sells the lines but they asked me for the dimensions and no one seems to be able to tell me that.
