How do i tell if i have the Bose or just the 6 speaker system? I have the in dash 6 disk changer and XM on the head unit and the subwoofer in the center console. but it is the bose??? thanks in advance?

Funny thing here.. I had to replace my alternator yesterday. Pulled it into the garage to get started on the job, took off the plastic and BOOM.. there is a red TB spacer on there. Since this was the 1st time i had had the plastic off since i got the truck a few months ago i was surprised. I turned to my buddy and said " look at that, someone wasted cash on this POS TB Spacer " LOL... Makes me wonder what other mods are on the truck....

rinse the salt off every night?? then i would go out to frozen shut doors every morning!! NOOOO THANKS.. lol.. Salt is bad, but taking care of the truck will solve that. My 04 SS has been in PA winters all it's life with the previous owner and it does not have a spot of rust..

This is a good way to check. The truck should stay running with just the alternator giving power. Batt is just there to start it. I vote for a bad alternator..

i am pretty good with wiring and things like that. Never really replaced parts like this tho. I would need to find some instrution on this before i did it. Anyone know where i can find that?

HUMMM.. that would do it. sadly this adaptor is about 2 years old and has been in 2 different vehicles..

I am just running the stock SS speakers and sub. the AVIC-D3 and the GMOS-04 adapter.

After i got my SS i installed my Avic-d3. used the GMOS-04 since i have the onstar and upgraded stock system. after a few days of messing around i finally got it installed. But i woke up a few times to a dead batt. After taking it to a couple shops my friend finally unhooked the batt and used a amp meter to see if there was a draw when the truck was off. there was a .79 amp draw. So we started pulling fuses to see where it was coming form. low and behold it was the stereo. So i took it out and installed my stocker for the time being. Why would my Avic be drawing that much??? any help?? thanks in advance!!

tail lights squeak?? how can you hear that? When i hit the gas I hear a small squeak, but never thought it was a tail light

YES.. we need a good step by step for both the stepper motors and new gauge light install.. anyone that does that would be a GREAT help to anyone that wants to tackle this job.
