  1. Dude, your whole truck is black. Paint it already. I'd say if anything should be a different color on your truck it would be the break ducts, but not the grill. JMHO.
  2. Honestly, it has been riding really good so far. I've been kind of taking it easy though, until I feel confident that I have no rubbing or driveline issues.
  3. Thank you. I guess you could call it a 3/4. Technically, I suppose it's a 2/4, plus keys. I had keys put on it about 5 years ago, so in order to get the additional 2 inches lower in the front I was wanting I just went with 2" spindles. But then just hangers and shackles in the rear.
  4. Thank you. Well, when I repainted them the first time in black I used VHT caliper paint, but this time I went with the Duplicolor factory match Victory Red. Since my truck is red I didn't think it would look very good if the calipers were a different red. I have heard that the Duplicolor holds up just fine, I guess only time will tell. My way of thinking was that if this paint doesn't hold up, I will eventually just do a full rotor and caliper upgrade.
  5. Just finished my latest projects this weekend. Hangers and shackles in the rear, spindles in the front, and repainted the calipers red. I'm still fine tuning the keys on the front to get it to sit right, but overall I am very pleased with it. Thanks to NORCALSS for all the support, the truck would probably still be on jack stands if it wasn't for you.
  6. I went with red. I'm very happy with the new look. They don't look so stock anymore, even though they are stock. Thanks again for everyone's help.
  7. Who the f steals a tailgate, really?
  8. Looks like he drove through Pepboys with a giant magnet in the car.
  9. The people have spoken! 76% red, 24% black. I guess I will be repainting them red when I install my drop spindles in the near future. Thanks for all the input. I'll post pics once I get the drop and repainting complete.
  10. Ok, I know this caliper issue has been addressed before, but I can't seem to find much help when it comes to a red vehicle (very mixed reviews). So I recently painted my calipers black. Just as I was about to start painting, I thought to myself, you know, red might look pretty cool too. I convinced myself to continue with the black paint because that was the plan from the beginning and I didn't want to change it to red at the last minute and regret it later. I just can't make up my mind whether I want to redo them now because I think red would would look pretty good but only if it matched the truck color really good. What do y'all think? Thanks in advance.
  11. Ok, so I started my 4" hanger shackle kit install yesterday, but before I started unbolting things I decided to take some measurements. The right side of my truck seems to be about a quarter of an inch higher than the left (measurement taken from wheel well). That bothered me some, but what bothered me even more was when I measured the distance between the bump stops and the axle, I had 1/2" on the left and 1/4" on the right. I figure if anything, if the right side of my truck is higher, I would have more space between the bump stop and the axle on the right side??? I did get a hanger drop installed about 4.5 years ago, did they maybe mess something up? I have not been in any accidents, so I don't think anything is bent. What should I be looking for? Any thoughts???
  12. USMC KC-130 pilot by trade. Filling a desk job currently. Oh, and a part time hand model.
  13. I'm running 285/45/22. The tire is 0.1" taller than the stock tire. It's just the right amount of rubber for the look I was going for.
  14. This clip is a little long, but it's hilarious. Thought you guys would enjoy.
  15. I stored mine when I went to Japan for 3 years. But then again, the government paid for it. Lucky me. Truck was as perfect as I dropped it off 3 years prior.
  16. Ever thought about taking out the amber lens completely? There is a great writeup in the how to section. My pics should still be posted on that thread, I am one of the last posts, if not the last. It is a tough mod to do yourself, but it looks sick. I wouldn't want to do it again even if someone paid me. Good luck.
  17. I paid $16.83 for the part, part #15287179 off this website http://www.partswebsite.com/gmcarpart/. I don't remember how much I paid for shipping. Regardless, it was well worth it.
  18. Pantera makes me drive fast and flip people off. I like it.
