  1. So as many of you know, I am selling my SSS. Since my new toy has already arrived, I had to move my SSS out of the garage. Rather than just putting it in my driveway or on the road beside my house I figured I would put it on the lemon lot on base. At least this way more people would see it and maybe someone would jump on it.

I've been stopping by the lot daily to check on it and start it up. When I stopped by there yesterday, I noticed that somebody stole my tail lights. I mean seriously, who does that? And when they took them they cut the wire harneses with wire cutters, so now I have to replace those too at $42 per.

Luckily, they at least did a clean job, they didn't do any damage to the truck at all otherwise.

Just ticks me off. This is the first time I have had to keep my truck outside and somebody had to mess with it. It's gonna cost me over $400 to replace both lights and both harnesses. People really piss me off!

    Ok, I'm done.

  2. Good luck man, but something tells me you may end up deciding to keep it, Been there, done that. Nice truck either way

I definitely would like to keep it. I really need the room though to start building my airplane. Plus I will need the cash for a motor, instruments, and a radio.

Anyway, it's still available if anyone was wondering.

  3. Well, I never thought this day would come. I special ordered my 06 SSS back in December of 05, received it in May/June 06, and it has been my pride and joy ever since. The truck was my DD for about 2.5 years, then it was professionally stored for a little over 3 years when I was stationed overseas. It was started and moved regularly during that time. When I came back to the U.S. in early 2011, I picked up a Colorado for my new DD and have driven the SSS to work once every week or two (weather dependant).

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this truck. The only reason I am selling it is because I have decided to start another project which will require space and money. I came to the realization long ago that there was not another car, truck, motorcycle, or boat that I would ever sell this truck for. Well, then the idea about building an airplane came along. I just put a deposit down on a Rans S-16 Shekari kit. The build should keep me busy for a little over the next year or so. Another reason for selling is that everything I really wanted to do to the truck (LS7 swap, 4L80 swap, AWD conversion, etc) was going to cost me more than the truck is worth, and I just cannot justify spending that kind of money on something that I would not be able to ever recoup my investment.

This truck has been very loved and very well taken care of but it has the usual signs of light use any reasonable person would expect including very minor chips on front of hood from rocks and the bed has a few light scratches in it (yes it was used to move my stuff across the country a few times). The truck has been involved in two minor fender benders in its life, the first one, I backed into my neighbors fence (broke passenger side rear cladding and put small dent in truck below the cladding, dent was popped out, cladding was replaced, good as new), the second one, some drunk lady side swiped the driver side, (scratched driver side from tail light to middle of drivers door and broke off driver's mirror, scratch buffed right out, mirror replaced, good as new). The interior is nearly mint condition.

I have every receipt from every oil change/maintenance/mod/upgrade/everything ever done to the truck. Oil has been changed using Mobile One synthetic every 5k or 6 months since new. I have never had a single issue with this truck. Ever. It has never broken down, failed to start, made a weird sound, smelt funny, anything. It has been a great truck.

The sticker (which I still have) price for my truck was $38,500. KBB has this truck at $24,330 for excellent condition, and $23,780 for very good condition. See below link.

I would say this truck is easily in very good condition, so I will list it for $21,500. The truck is perfect as is, or a great truck with an unmolested motor for someone to use as a project truck. Also with the sale I will throw in the factory bumper, factory spindles, factory Chevy emblem, SS flood lights, and a few other odds and ends. I have a few other pics in my gallery if you wish to look there. If any of you know Travis on the site (02 WS6 TA), he and a few other members saw my truck at a meet in Destin and I'm sure any of them would vouch for it. Also, here is a link to some clips of my exhaust.

CarFax can be done at your expense if you are interested. Or it can be viewed on my ad on cars.com at this link.

  4. Thanks man. I love how it comes together. The cover is a Lorado I believe. It was on the truck when I bought it. Waiting to see if anyone catches on as to whats missing from the truck lol. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2

I can't figure out what it is??? Your business sign???

Also if I can get the funds together ive found my new wheels. Spokes will be black though. 22X9 up front and 22X10 out back. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2

You gonna convert to a different lug pattern?

  5. I think thats a little too big for a sport truck. On an Escalade, SUV, or regular dropped full size truck its fine. I think even 24"s are pushing it for an SSS though. Anyway, its a hell of a deal. Just flip them. Regardless, post some pics if you pull the trigger on the deal.
