  1. Oh, and by the way, looks like we're clear from any chance of rain- See you there! ;)

Hey man. Yeah, it's looking good for tomorrow. Everything has fallen into place for me this week and right now we are planning on comming. I'm going to give the truck a rub when I get home from work today so it will be clean for the show. What time are you getting there? Also, what's your real name so I know what to call you tomorrow? Mine is Chris. PM me your number so we can coordinate.

  2. I'm over in Pensacola. I may be able to come by for this. I have to clear it with the wife, make sure I don't have any conflicts with school, and check on the weather (my SSS doesn't come out to play in the rain). It would be awesome if we could get some more members out there.

    Anyone else planning on going?

  3. I have a lot of guns, but here is my little PDW I've been building. I'm still waiting on my buttstock to come in the mail. I have a North Eastern Arms CCS on order. Once installed, with the stock collapsed it will measure 21" overall length. I put a 8" Noveske 300BLK barrell on it. Haven't gotten to shoot it yet since I am still waiting on a bolt : (

  4. I like how he put that it was very clean and very well maintained in his description, yet it is filthy in all the pics. Did you see the dirt on the steering column? A DEI SSS should never be that dirty, especially when you are trying to sell it.

  5. I will keep you in my prayers bro. I went through this a year and a half ago when my father passed at 67. I'll tell you, it doesn't matter what age they are, what age you are, or what age your kids are, there never seems to be a good time for this sort of thing. At least in your case and mine they both went peacefully. Stay strong, time will help.

    Chris

  6. one more inch in rear you will need to notch it.

I'm glad you chimed in Norcal, I was thinking about pming you. I thought the limit was 5" before you had to c-notch. Is it 4"? Also, how do you personally feel about removing the helper leaf?

I know my other option is to do a flip kit. Right now I have the 4" hanger/shackle kit on the rear. If I'm trying to get 5" though do I need to do the flip kit and return to factory shackles? Thanks.

  7. Well how low are you? What size tires are you running? What are you thinking you would need to cut? You can only roll the rear of the truck. The front fenders have a large lip on them that you would not be able to roll. Not only will the front rub against the top of the fender but it will rub the fire wall if you go to low or to big of a tire.

I'm currently sitting on a 3/4 drop, looking to bring it down 1 more front and rear. I'm running 295s and have maybe about 1/8" of clearance now if that. It is hard to tell, but I know I don't rub. Just thinking I would like at least 1/4" of clearance for my own comfort. And yes, I'm only talking about the rear.

If you decide to go the cut method route, would atleast use some rust inhibitor. I have seen moisture get in places and cause rust. By the time you notice it your screwed. The fender roller does a nice job.

I plan on using rustoleum if I go this route, then put my undercoat over that. Just never had to use the fender roller so slightly worried about it messing up my fender. Are they idiot proof?
