  1. Awhile back I purchased Baer Alumasport front calipers from a member on here. The kit number is 4301038. I had contacted baer regarding what rotors and pads to use and they said LF Rotor 6910868 and RF Rotor 6920868 also pads D1058. My question is are there any other brands out there that will work with this application? Or are these the only rotors and pads that work? Also I got the item as a 2 piece caliper...is that all I need or is there another mounting bracket since they are larger? thanks in advance guys..just trying to get my brake system around to put on
  2. Hey thanks norcal..always great help..do you deal shims and torsion keys??
  3. Is there a difference between the leafsprings the SSS and the z71s have? I did a 2/4 drop on my 04 z71 but the rear seems to high. There is the factory blocks in the rear that i dont the sss have. Gonna drop another inch in front with keys and i think if i remove the blocks in the rear i should be set. Any opinions??
  4. Im confusing myself but the smaller the number for a positive offset the more the wheel sticks out past the fender lip right? Also they dont have black 22" rims in stock by the looks of it. thanks for the help guys
  5. I really like the replicas but im worried about how far they will stick out past the fender and thats what i want is for them to stick out alittle so they are inline with my fender flares. I really like the look of the flares on my truck and with the boss rims they stick out a good inch and a half past the wheels so it looks pretty funky. I orginally had some ugly limited brand rims on it and they had 15mm offset and were 10 or 10.5" wide, cant remember. So I just want to find a dished style rim so i have more options and go from there. Thanks alot guys
  6. Im looking for some 22x10 or wider rims with a 15mm offset. Dont care what color since il be getting them powdercoated...although I would like an aggressive looking wheel. My new boss 330s just arnt growing on me and i hate how they look on my truck. Ive looked everywhere but with no luck finding any...anyone know something I dont? haha appreciate it!
  7. Yeah I really want to keep the arrival blue.. anyone know where I can order some? currently out of the country...ppg have arrival blue? really appreciate the help guys! sorry for the questions but have time limits on the computers and seems faster to ask for help than search it. once again thanks, chris
  8. Im going to be painting my truck in a few months and was wondering how much paint is needed. I heard around 6 quarts but dont know if thats with reducer and activator or before them. Plan is still up in the air but im either sticking with arrival blue or going black or possibly going 2tone. Getting a new ram air hood so I have a perfect excuse to paint the whole thing now to make it shine again. Looking into the dupont paints but you know of any suppliers and also any recommended brands. Always great help here! thanks
  9. looks nice man! gives me a pretty good idea...like the tint on the tails! I plan on getting rid of the fender flares, sucks that they wore lines into the paint..some are pretty deep..my 32+mm offset doesnt look good with them on..hangs over to much
  10. At the end of my depoyment im getting my new boss 330's powdercoated black and gonna drop it another 1 inch or so to fill up the wheel wells...really want to see what it will look like..something to look forward to i guess i should say...so was wondering if anyone was good at photoshop...random i know, but nothing wrong with asking questions There are photos of my truck in my gallery...Thanks!
  11. thanks, and if I remember correctly its at the 3inch..il have to have someone check for me
  12. I have 2 inch drop spindles and shackles and hangers in the rear for my drop, but I want to go alittle lower. i have 305 40 22's and I feel my truck would have a better look if they were stuffed up alittle higher into the wheel wells. My boss 330's have a 32mm + offset. Are my tires to wide? I orginally had 22x10 rims now they are 9.5s so my side walls bulge alittle bit more. I could remove the blocks in the rear to get the desired drop but dont know if they will hit the edge of the fenders. Cant really have eyes on my truck at the moment since im currently deployed. all input would be greatly appreciated!! I have pics of my truck in my profile, wont let me attach photos at the moment thanks
  13. Hey kckid what size tires are you running and what all do you have for that ride heigth? I have 2" drop spindles up front and hangers and shackles in the rear and 305's on 22s but want to go alittle lower to the ride you have..not trying ot hyjack thread
  14. I purchased the 4301038 baer caliper kit on here a couple months ago brand new. Unable to call baer to see what help they can offer on me finding the right rotors for the front and pads also. I have a 04 silv z71. I had read that i would possibley need bracket spacers???? Be so much easier if I could just call them but like I said we dont have phones where im at. From what i had previously been told the rotors would be eradispeed and pads pbr? Just looking for part numbers and or links. Appreciate all help in advance thanks, chris
  15. Hey chase what tubing was used on your headers?
  16. looks like stainless works headers with the passenger side modified alittle.
  17. Thanks guys..yea i looked into the t76 but just wasnt quite sure...i do have plans to grow in the future..also do you recommend a full tranny build? or would servos do the trick?
  18. I've been looking around alot on 5.3 turbo builds in preparation for my build next spring. My truck is my DD and on occasion I make a 400 trip to indiana from ft campbell, kentucky. So my goals are to keep it streetable, decent fuel milage, and also capable of long round trips. What im planning so far is mp 70 .96 a/r turbo, 60lb injectors, walpro 255 fuel pump, 02-04 z06 cam or gt2-3 cam, z06 yellow springs, possibly 317 heads????, stall, and obviously an intercooler. Im hoping for close to 500hp with around 10lbs of boost. I have a buddy associated with Lingenfelter but i have yet to make contact with him for opinions on the build. Its only an hour away from my home town so hopefully il be able to take advantage of that. I plan on building the turbo manifold also. Just thought id see what opinions or help I could get from you guys..thanks
  19. I plan on getting my 330's powdercoated black..you should see how that would look on your truck too...I looked into the last set of rims you posted but I didnt think 9" was wide enough..looks sick though on your truck..go for it
  20. Thanks guys.... could definitely use the beer over the pepsi matt has to offer haha...5 more months till im home
  21. You were stationed there before you were a recruiter? who were you with
  22. Does anyone know where I can find a kbracing turbo manifold??? thanks chris
  23. I have been around this site for alittle over a year and while i've been deployed since January I started buying what was needed for my truck. It is a 04 Silverado Z71 with a 5.3. I had my best friend get everything around for paint and he also installed a few things for me. It was lowered up front with McGaughys spindles and shackles and hangers in the rear. Also changed my rims to Boss 330's which are due to get powdercoated black soon. It has Streetscene front bumper and a rollpan, and nitro 2 shocks. After everything was put on it turned out amazing. Sadly I had to keep the fender flares due to deep lines rubbed into the body paint so I had them painted also along with the grill center piece. Future plans are baer brake kit, already have the rear with 14" rotors and currently looking into the front set also. Also plan on a cam and doing some head work or getting 317's if I turbo it. Only performance upgrades so far are AFE cold air intake, bully dog programmer, and cat back exhaust. Currently looking into a front mount turbo set up, so im looking for a turbo manifold. Getting everything to the current state of my truck was fun and this site helped me out alot. I don't post much on here, but everytime im able to get online its the first place I go. Big thanks goes out to 8 UR HMI for the drop kit, supajut for the Baer rear brake set, and everyone on this site that posts great information. Chris
