  1. i just installed a dynomax ultraflow x pipe muffler this week. i have tailpipes that exit under the rear bumper. when the exhaust is cold zero drone at all. once it warms up it has some drone around 1500 rpms. not too bad. from my experiences so far i can't get rid of this drone to save my life, but oh well, it sounds good outside the truck 2 weeks ago i put a magnaflow 2 in 1 out muffler on and it droned like crazy! im sure ill change the exhaust again soon enough but for now im content.
  2. i figured i would update everyone with what i did to the exhaust. i ended up getting a 2.5" dual in dual out dynomax ultraflo x pipe muffler and had 2 tailpipes bent coming out the rear. it looks and sounds great!!! has a nice deep rumble and hardly any drone inside the truck. ill try to post pics soon and possibly sound clips. def like it better than the magnaflow, which i will be selling along with the stock tailpipe and tip.
  3. right now its just the stock tailpipe
  4. corsas are way too expensive for me!! i like the idea of dual mufflers with an x pipe exiting in front of the rear wheel. i may go that route.
  5. trust me guys i know what interior drone is lol. i have a built 95 z28 w a 355 cammed heads long tubes no cats cutouts and a flowmaster american thunder exhaust. it drones like crazy!! i think i am going to go with the hooker mufflers and an x pipe or h pipe. what is the difference and where is a good place to put it? will dumping them before the axle create alot of interior noise? sick03 where did you get the dynomax xflow? im considering that too. is it a 2 in 1 out muffler like the magnaflow i just got is? thanks for any more info guys! great site!
  6. yesterday i installed a magnaflow 12595 muffler on my 03 ss because from what i read on this forum, it was recommended by many. this muffler has some serious interior drone from about 1500 to 2000 rpms. on my old 99 silverado z71 i installed a hooker aerochamber muffler and it sounded GREAT inside the truck and outside the truck. i was thinking of installing 2 of these and having another tailpipe bent the same as the stock one therefore having true duals. does anyone have a suggestion as to what to do to get rid of the drone in the cab? thanks for any help!
  7. just like the title says i need to know where to get the spare tire hoist cover that goes on the ss rear bumper cover. does anyone know where to get these besides the dealer? i got a price from work (i work at a chevy dealer) and it is $35 and i still need to get it painted to match. thanks for any help!
