Close like most of the people...had a 06 Taurus SEL and was driving from el paso to Houston on leave was around junction tx and got popped for going 95 in a 65. Thought I would have been going to jail but the cop just gave me a ticket. Hen when I was in school got popped 3 times in one day once for speedind in my old f150 and at the same time no seat belt, then 2 hours later again no seat belt. I was a dumb ass teen

i know how yall feel, i had mine for a week and never parked by the street for fear something would happen, and the night i did, i woke up to go to the store and found just my left mirror missing. and it wasnt like some kid came and cut the wires for the light, they took the time to unplug it and everything....needless to say i was fuming, but i had another mirror that night. i just hate when people mess with stuff that isnt theirs

Looking for a supercharger, really want a procharger, heard slot of good things from some of the guys In my unit. If no one has one of those, will be looking toward buying a radix style supercharger. If any one has theselaying around, pm me if you don't mind

6's are too big for me, but i wouldnt mind having that procharger in my SSS, going to hinesville soon and want to start out there right

I had purchased the lojack option when I got the truck but never had it installed because I went back to el paso to store it...wrong place I know lol but I did go to compustar, found an alarm I would like, but couldn't do a whole lot of research because I'm on my itouch.

Started piecing my system together about 2 months ago. So far I have 2 10" alpine type x subs, 4 alpine type r 6 1/2" mids, 2 boss 4x6's for the back doors and 2 6 1/2" clarion mids for the front door and 2 clarion tweeters. Also have 3 hifonics amps pushing it all; 1 mono class d 2600watt amp for the subs, an 800watt amp for the alpine mids and tweets and another amp that puts 170watts to each channel. Next on the list is a clarion 7" flip out touch screen with navi and all the other bells and whistles. But a read a thread on here of SSS thefts on the rise so I'm looking at a couple of options to go with my security. I want to put a killswitch and a fuel cut off switch for starters and then put lojack. It has like a carlite alarm on it now, but I was wanting to upgrade to a viper alarm in the future. Does anyone have have any other suggestions on security for the truck and system? Oh and once I'm in the states and have it installed, I'll post pics on how my systems setup is.

well as far as performance, i want to do new headers and exhaust, a bigger pulley, bigger cam, cold air intake, and a procharger. so far i have none, but want a transmission that can hold it easily. isnt the "durtymax" a diesel, therefor the motor it self cant rev high? like ive posted before, im brand new to this truck scene, and im looking for advice wherever i can get it.

looking to get a new tranny to start off the performance mods, thinking allison MW7 6 speed, dont know if it is possible because it comes in the 2500HD chevys. some good direction would be appreciated

i found this site on the second of this month, and have since then succussfully been on the site at least once a day to look at ideas to go on for my truck. days that i have 24 hours shift, im on all night just looking. i think im addicted to tgis site....is that considered a "healthy" addiction?

was reading TRUCKIN' mag and read the article about FASTLANE INC. and how they were moding silverados with blown 427's. also read they are fitting the truck with 22" SS wheels. called the shop but they werent trying to sell the rims alone. anyone know where to find some without paying an arm and a leg?

could use the rims, never know when you need a whole new set of wheels in Houston lol!! shoot me a price so we can get them wheels this way

well i was looking thru TRUCKIN magazine and saw the 427 SS that FASTLANE INC. was producing, and i told them i had plans to blow it later on, but for starts i wanted to put the cam and intake, pulley, and headers and of course chip it. since they are located in houston tx, my home town i called and they quoted me around 5,000 for all of that. im not sure what these people are all about because i havent heard anything about them until now, but i think if they got recognised by that magazine and the way they are making the truck, i think i shoud go with them, unless someone here can point me in a better direction
