My old Z28 used to when it was stock also, after the shift kit it would bark third also. I remember the first time the truck broke em loose at WOT, I was so shocked such a heavy vehicle could do that. Now I do it constantly. 2 wheels burnouts are awesome, just like my member title says.

Mods so far that I know of, Magnaflow cat back, Magnaflow High flow cats, and a Spectre CAI. The truck also has cutouts on it, the CAI is the only thing i've added since I bought it. The original owner told me he still has the hypertech layin around somewhere. Claims he put the truck back to stock when he gave it back. Governor is on, but the truck shifts so hard it can break the tires loose on a wide open 1-2 shift.

The guy who owned the SSS before now owns a Tundra, we've actually become good friends. He caught me at a home depot earlier this year and recognized his old SSS. He swears the Tundra is faster, I may have to challenge him to a line up and show him who's BOSS!

Well here it is, my first kill story, and 3 in one night!! Little back drop, left my mom's house about half an hour ago, about a quarter of the way home I get caught at a red light. See a NNBS Silverado ready to make a left in cross traffic and he's eying me. Makes his turn and takes off like a bat outta hell, so naturally I chase him down as soon as i get the green. We end up at a light together and he's looking over smirking not realizing i'm giving him the death stare through my tints. He stalls up, light turns green, I mash the gas, spin the tires and say goodbye. This happens a few times. Now we're at alight and a few vehicles turn in the direction we're racing in from cross traffic, get the green and adios, switch through the few cars and the road opens from 2 lanes to 3 and i come to a stop at the red light. Look left, Nissan Titan V8, look right, Toyota Tundra V8, look in the rear view and there's the Chevy, from stoplight to stoplight here it's only maybe 600ft give or take, so not thinking anything light goes green and i just coast to the next light. Now comes the fun part, in 100 yards the right lane merges in making our 3 lane blacktop 2 lanes, both imports are biting at the bit, lurching forward, teasing me to go big or go home. Now i have a tendency to watch the cross traffic lights to time myself. Cross traffic goes yellow and I prepare to unleash hell. Our light goes green, I stomp on the loud pedal, trucks tires go loose, she slides left, then right , the pavement is screaming bloody murder. I hook, rocket boosters engaged, and I'm gone, look down and I'm at almost 90mph, look in the rear view and see all the "challengers" nose in the air struggling to keep up, I let off let her coast back to the legal limit and wave to the losers as they pass me while I'm making my right turn to head home. The SSS Gods were smiling upon me tonight! For anyone that lives in the chicago suburbs, this took down from Golf Rd and Elmhurst Rd. all the way to Golf Rd. and Algonquin Rd. I really hope I'm not the only SSS guy out here???

Saw a Victory Red SSS this evening in Schaumburg. In the parking lot across from Woodfield mall, where the new HHGregg just opened up. Wondering if it's anyone on here. Was just curious cuz I don't ever see any events out here, was wondering if we're scarce in the west burbs.

I thought of that, did cross my mind seeing the Ebay tails are between $125-$150 shipped. My only issue would be finding a shop that can paint them and not screw them up. I know for sure im not going to try and paint them. LOL

So since I see that everyone is asking the mileage and OP is honest when he says he's not sure, the easiest thing I can think of is just ask the OP how many miles HE put on since he purchased the truck. This way you guys that are looking to buy have somewhat of an idea of what shape they are in. Hope this helps, not trying to be a dick to anyone... Just my .02 cents as that would be what i'd ask first...

Saw this beast on my way to work yesterday morning, took the best pics I could, all the body cladding is painted chameleon, 24' rims and stick on hood scoops..... Don't forget the massive 5" turndowns!!!

I live i an apartment complex man, all my tools are in storage, there are 50 other cars i the garage ad no power outlets. Trust me i'd love to do it myself. I'm just curious if that gap has opened up or im just being paranoid.

I figured that was the case, i have to take it to the body shop soon to get that back part taken care of, I'll have my guy at the shop align it. Now how about that gap, doesn't seem right, I can see everything between there now, the cab vents, the rubber strips attached on the bed, one of you guys mind measuring the gap and letting me know if it's 1.5 inches also. Hey guys had a real quick noob question, I was washing the truck today and something about the way the bed was lined up didn't look right. It has shifted about a quarter of an inch to the passengers side at the front. I'm not sure if this happened when I hit the drivers side rear against that light post or yesterday when i had loaded the truck up with paver base and sand, and am wondering if the weight caused the shift. Also the gap between the back of the cab and the bed looks plain huge, I can fit my whole hand in there now, I took a measurement and there is a 1.5 inch gap, is that right? Can someone measure there's and let me know i'm not crazy. This is my first truck so I was under the impression that the beds don't move, I took some pics, not the best it's dark in the garage but if you look close you can see how it's not lined up on the driver's side and looks just a little pulled out on the passengers side. Truck looks damn sharp bro! Lovin that hood, looks pretty mean... In regards to the badge, looks like the 6.0 badge that was on the rear of the 6.0 GTO's... You can get one from any GM dealership, or I could get one for anyone interested from my guys at the dealer I go to. I get all my parts for 5% above cost due to a car club discount...
