  1. Thanks for the replies guys. If you guys possibly have pics id appreciate it so im not cutting the wrong stuff. Dont know why I get nervous tinkering with the truck. Probably cuz shes a rare item. Now if I didnt see the y cable in the center of the seat, is it possible the owner before me removed it? I couldnt find it for the life of me.
  2. Pics will be posted as soon as im finished. Also I noticed the rubber extensions for the vents have come unglued and colapsed. Can I just cut those out? Baby seat brackets, I didnt even pay attention to those. I know there are a couple silver brackets I noticed, would those be the ones? I was under the impression those are there to swivel the seat bottom up and down.
  3. Hey guys got a quick question. I am going to attempt the rear seat fold down mod tomorrow. I had the backseat out today but ran out of time. I dont have the y cable in the center I keep reading about. There is a bolt in the center of the floor under the seat but theres nothing that bolts down there. I have two bolts that hold down the passengers side and three on the drivers side, 2 in the bracket and one all the way in the back near the wall that a strap bolts onto. Was anything different in the 06 and newer trucks? I want to install my system and would like to get this done tomorrow. I will try and get pics tomorrow. Thanks in advance guys!
  4. He was right. 2013 tax return sale 3-15 to 3-22 all converters 10% off. Wish i had filed my taxes already, would love a converter for my truck. Unfortunatley I cant file till my 1099 shows up.
  5. I'll give the seller credit. He figured out a way to make money by buying a roll of chrome trim moulding, cutting it into 5 inch strips and turning a profit. Instant Elegance. LOL
  6. Well i was gonna say something along the lines of a smartass. Everyone else beat me to it. Anyhow you said you ran the VIN? So what did you find Captain Confuso? Real SSS or did the old man scam you first?
  7. My condolences on your loss. Its a tough thing to go through. I lost my father a little over 2 years ago also. For a long time I was lost. Like a few other members said, talk to the Lord, he's always listening. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.. Stay strong brother! We're all here for you!
  8. Truck looks great bro! 1,000,000 times better without that billet eyesore! Couldnt help but notice the other truck in your pics has IL plates? Were you up here in IL visiting or did your buddy make the trip to Texas. I swear i have yet to meet anyone from the forum but I know we have members here in IL.
  9. Yea oddly enough all 3 of my cars have made it to google somehow. My truck, my 03 Impala LS and my 96 Z28. Creeps me out whenever i see one of my vehicles on Google.
  10. My fiance' got one for me last year for Christmas. Proudly hung it on the tree this year!
  11. Nope havent gotten it on yet. Didnt put it on yet cause the truck needs to go in and have the cladding i scraped up painted, so i figured since im waiting for spring to do that i'll have spoiler painted and installed. Need to get the bed rails still also.
  12. Wow never saw this thread. Yes guys thats my truck. The WeatherGuard vinyl kinda gives it away lol.
  13. Don't mean to sound like a dick, but you've got it backwards. That's an 03-05 hood with an 06 grill. Look closely.
  14. I thought the same thing also. I was like maybe I'm mistaken. Maybe the warranty is on just the ballasts. Nope, right on their site, bulbs and ballasts warrantied for life. When I put in my warranty claim they sent me a RMA number and told.me to send them the bulbs. If they tested out bad they were gonna send me a new set of bulbs. When I told them the had exploded is when I got the "installer error/physical damage" bs. It would make sense if they blew up a day or week after I installed them that an error might be plausible. Not 2 years after installing them. Its whatever. All my kits will from now on be bought from KB here on our site. I spoke to him for almost an hour. Awesome guy really knows his stuff...
  15. Its not really a big deal. They specifically state that bulbs are covered. I would assume that a bulb that explodes is a faulty piece, and a company as established as ddm would replace a bulb that they pay $3 for to keep a client happy. I bought 6 kits from them at one time, and was ready to buy a few more. I called them and the lady I spoke to even agreed that a bulb that explodes should be covered under warranty. Well a higher up told me to f off lol. I could careless about the $15 for new bulbs. You would think that a company that large would honor warranty on such a part. I'm a contractor and any roof or siding work I do is warrantied for 10 years. If we can choke down replacing siding or a section of a roof which costs 10x that of a bulb. You would think ddm would honor replacing a bulb.
  16. Is your lifetime warranty the same as DDM's? As in if a bulb that was installed 2 years ago explodes, its considered installer error and I'm nicely told to go F myself???
  17. Dude our trucks are like long lost twins lol. Both silver birch, both have black wheels and both have Spectre CAI's. You beat me to the blacked out brake ducts and tinted headlights. I've been broke....
  18. I'll take a new crew cab in blue please. Gotta say I like the transition back to stacked headlights. They kinda remind me of the GMT-400's...
  19. As most of you know, I started my own small business last year. Bought myself a used plow truck and turned to craigslist to promote myself. Well this year I decided to put some money towards marketing. I had a family friend build a website and start a facebook page. I came here to ask you guys, my second family, for your support. If you guys dont mind heading on over and liking the page for me, I would sincerely appreciate it. http://www.facebook.com/PowerhouseSnowplowing?ref=hl If anyone wants to look over the website, it's still fresh and being changed up daily. http://www.powerhousesnowplowing.com/#!home/mainPage Again Thanks so much guys!!!!
  20. Thats exactly what I'm saying. That thing looks dropped to the rest of the trucks we've seen. Not a huge drop but about two inches. Same rubber as on our trucks. It's all speculation as of now, but with Dodge taunted the release of the Ram R/T, it's looking pretty good for us.
  21. So i was looking at images of the new Silverado and came across this. Dont mind the tow mirrors. It definitely looks like its got a nice low stance.. Almost looks like our trucks! Hope this isnt a repost..... http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2012/09/spied-2014-chevy-silverado-ss-testing.html
