My black 03 SS was stolen in New Orleans two and a half weeks ago. I'm still currently working out the settlement with my insurance, but should have everything completed within 2 weeks, including getting approved for a new loan. I'm an officer in the navy in flight school in Pensacola, FL and have a hectic schedule. I just graduated Virginia Tech in May '11 and never thought I would ever have this happen to me. I'm still waiting to wake up from this awful nightmare. But, like everything else materialistic in life, it can be replaced. That's where this site and yalls help comes in. If I plan this out right, my intentions are to find one, hopefully on here because I trust this site over Craigs List, and fly to wherever it is at to pick it up. I'm looking for a black SS, blue is my second choice, with the 6.0 and AWD. I had thousands of dollars of modifications done to it, but if it's still mostly stock that isn't a big deal, who doesn't love a long term project!? Of course everyone knows the lower the miles the better, and my budget...is relatively unknown still because I am dealing with my insurance company still. I will update this topic once I have my budget, but it will most likely be no more than 18k. HELP ME OUT!! I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT MY SS!!! HokieSS RIP Sydney!!

im guessing a high speed bump, the same incident in which i lost my back right hub cap. in the picture of me holding the half of the spring, if u look down in there all the fittings are shifted and there was no way for it to stay screwed in based off the misalignment of everything. It has a 2in torsion key drop in front and just a standard flip kit for the rear also 2in drop.its two inches all the way around HokieSS

and yea i mean shocks, my bad. nitro tech 2s are what were on there, so i didnt feel a need to get anything better. also dont have much to spend

It was actually my instrument cluster that went bad. Effin expensive part too, 400 just for the part. Ended up bein a $600 job. FML, that 80k thing really screwed me out of not havin to spend that amount of money. I'm so mad, damn recalls....

It's bout time to change out my filthy @$$ CAI filter, and I haven't had my truck long enough to know how to do it. It's probably real simple, but I just need to make sure I do it right so I don't have any more future repairs. I'm new to the "do it yourself" on your own truck thing. Thanks

I have a Checkmate II Hard Top, fiberglass, and I wanna switch to a nice painted cover to go with my black paint on my truck. Any suggestions on where to get one/the best place to get one?

Yea I had to put in the Bose adapter for my whole set up, dual touch screen dvd player, sony 10 inch sub, and memphis amp. Two places gave me a price of 150, so you got a deal

well im in college, and it was near a bunch of apartments on a street where people walk and stuff, so either they used an object (no evidence on the mirror) to knock it off, or they rammed their shoulder into it with a running start? no idea, all i know is that people do dumb stuff. after market mirrors too, and was not tryin to do all this work ALREADY, i just got the truck 6 months ago. not to mention all the money ive already put into it!

About 3 weeks ago, I was waiting to pull out of a 7-11 and this Saudi Arabian dude just backs right into me and jacked up the back right side panel. He "didn't even see me" in his broken english, gettin body work done next week. A week before that I was parked on the street with the passenger side on the sidewalk, someone decided to just knock off my mirror. Scratched up my door below where the mirror is too. TALK ABOUT BAD LUCK, all gettin fixed next week, back to normal soon!!!!

I have been having a huge problem with my speedometer working sometimes accurately (checking speed with a gps) and then sometimes it just gets either stuck on one speed, or it gets stuck at a speed when I turn off the ignition, and goes up in speed from the accelerator from that point. I have a feeling it's not my sensor and have heard that someone with a Trail Blazer has had a similar problem. My gas gauge has been inconsistent, as well as my oil pressure gauge. Any thoughts??

I wanna tint my tail lights some, but i don't wanna pay for all new tail light assemblies because I already have all of them LED. Any suggestions? I know that you can get the roll of film or whatever that you can tint windows with, but I have an 03 and the tail lights are curved and would be a pain in the ass to do. Thoughts?

Hey yall, I'm Matt, soon to be the owner of a black 2003 SS! Just wanted to get this whole thing going with the forum. Never done this before so bare with me. The SS I'm gettin has quite a few mods to it, so I guess I should tell yall about it. It has the 6L V8. Its got black leather interior, Bose sound, after market tinted glass, spray in liner, bed cover, dual intake, and 85k miles. It's lowered 2-3 inches, but I'm planning on raising it back up to stock height, maybe an inch more. I also am planning on puttin in a Sony Explod slim 10" sub under the bench seat in the cab, a Dual touch screen dvd player head unit, and some blue running board neon LED lights. After that, I don't plan on doing anything else to it for a while. Let me know what you think and I'm stoked bout pickin it up next weekend! HokieSS
