really? like from the headers??? cuz its a very loud metal on metal sound.. like a slapp or something.. its louder than the sewing machine noise people say they get from cam upgrade.. -

yeah i know it might be too advanced for him lol the truck is orignally tuned by justin at blackbear but i only have a mail order tune.. i went with my buddy to tune it after the cam install cuz he has hp tuners and can log here on the lap top.. but i didnt know how well justin could over mail order tunning.. but i am going to talk to him about it and what i should do.. i wish a tuner could chim in here lol -

okay man i was just wandering cuz the guy that is gonna tune it has it he an i are the ones that did the cam swap and all that.. but he is still kinda learning on the tunning part which is kinda bad and good.. -

its the TSP 224/224R Cam with .581 lift and yes only at idle it was still on jack stands.. never got to drive it yet i was to scared to with all that metal on metal noise -

no the check engine light is not on.. and i did go from a stock cam.. but its more than a little chirp it sounds like metal on metal in there... so my guess whats i need shorter pushrods.. but im just trying to get advise before i have to spend more money -

yeah it even has true duals on it... its not tunned yet but it does sound really bad the best way to describe it was it sounds like a desiel... and now after that log it wont crank back over and stay running... -

hey guys just got the cam swap and TC Done.. started it today and managed to get a log on HP... My KR kept jumping from 2.1 to 0 then all the way up to 7.9 8.0 for awhile... Whats the problem it could be????? need help fast. i put 7.4 pushrods in never checked mine.. just went off of the common one use in my motor.. Thanks, Mike

i have ground the lower stud down man.. but the nuts for it are big and they didnt give me any other ones.. so i cant grind it any more than i already have.. plus there like ground almost all the way down.. it almost seems like i would have to grind them down all the way to fit can i go get smaller nuts for it?

yeah i wish i could have him do that lol but our town got hit with a huge F-5 tornado may 22nd and wipped out there building..

guys i had the truck lowered at a shop awhile back.. it was a bell-tech 2/4 Drop.. 2in Spindles up front with 20in wheels.. So i went to put my 17s on for the track the otherday and they would clear in the front.. The bolt on the bottom of the spindle hits the inner lip of the 17in wheel???? any help on this guys??? ive ground the bolts off and put the nuts back on an still wont clear.. i cant ground them off anymore otherwise the nut wont go back on.. im pissed. lol need some info or advice on this

is there anyway to tell if it is the G80 foresure? and should i even bother putting gears into it? or wait and buy a whole new rear end before i put gears in it man?

the truck is a posi. its got 3.42 gears. and the transmission has a transgo HD2 Shift kit, 2nd gear vette servo and 4th gear billet servo. thanks for the info tho man!

Hey guys, well my truck got hit by and asphalt truck the other day not actually hit just he had a load and it came flying out when i passed him.. so i get 1,200 in insurance money to do what i want with! i just painted the truck this year in autobody class at my school. now on with the build... Motor is a 99 5.3L 120k with the money i am getting a Custom Ground Comp Cam, Chromly hardened pushrods, Dual Springs, and LS7 Lifters. also a ASP Underdrive pulley Kit, 3000 Stall, and MSD Wires and plugs. Not much of a build but it is for me since im only 17 and having some buddys help along with the build. ill post pics up during the build. Thanks, Mike

Hey guys, im looking into e-fans on my 99 silverado 5.3 which is better? to have the E-fans run on a toggle switch? or to get a harness and everything and have it tuned for E-fans? The truck is already tunned by blackbear. just wandering if its a difference or just a personal opinion? Thanks guys, Mike

im thinking i want to do just 4in control arms in the front. if thats not bad? because my spindles in the front have given me trouble with running smaller wheels. like my 17's wont fit because the ball joint bolt hangs down too far and hits the inside lip on my wheel. any help on that? as for the flip kit i no longer have my stock shackles/ or hangers.. so to do a 5/7 drop would i still need stock hangers or shackles? and would my 275/45/20 tires and wheels clear the 5/7 drop? there 9in wide with tires.

Hey whats up guys. i havent been on here in a while. i finally got my truck done and painted in autobody. but anyways, the truck has a bell tech 2/4 drop on it. with 2in spindles in the front with new shocks. and shackles/hangers in the back. im wanting to know what alll i need for a 4/6 drop? i was thinking 2in coils in the front. and how do i go about the back since i got the shackles and hangers in the back? thanks, mike
